do you mean cobweb mold?

it is difficult to see because the pictures are blurry.

also you may have better luck in the contamination forum if you post there.

in the first picture, i think i see knots. very bottom near the hole.

The top of the second pic looks like cobweb, it is very faint and whispy looking. Try to get a better pic of that area and keep an eye on it.

Hmm I can't be sure if it's cobweb, how long has it been colonizing?

golden teacher is slower than many cubes for me. so it does have more chance at losing the battle to competitors than other varieties.

if you have to ask chances are pretty slim that its cobweb you got.

I dont like the grey stuff at the top and to the top right in this pic tho,

but its hard to tell for sure so I'd just keep an eye on it for now and see how it develops

If it's cobweb it will take over your sub in a day or two. I don't see any to be honest. This happened in one day. I woke up and saw what looked like cobweb. Wasn't sure. Waited less then 12 hours. Opened it up again and was sure.

Cobweb mold:

Usually followed by a distinct odor of old garbage. It also comes from lack of oxygen.

Knock'd up some more jars just in-case the monotub doesn't turn out .

Does this seem to be cubensis mycelium?

Is this Cobweb mold?

Red Circle:  Pleurotus Ostreatus
Yellow Circle:  Possible Cobweb Mold.

Fruiting for 7 days at +90% humidity.  Yellow has spread fast over 2 days.

Never waited for 100% colonized it started to pin before it got to 100% so i just stuffed it with polyfil , think it may have been due to the crack letting air in ive bought a new container for the next time :super:

Op, that didn't look like cobweb to me. Even the third pic. Looks dry. Could use a misting to knock down the fuzz. There are also a shit load of pins in there. I realize this was ten days ago. How are they now?

Lab, isn't cobweb either.

Tagyo pic is a good rep of cobweb.

If you look closely in the second pic, bottom right hand corner you can see a spot of myc coming up for comparison.

I got cobweb here from NO air exchange during colonization, AKA stale air. Little known fact: most tote seals are improper from manufacturer, meaning a little air comes in and a little CO2 comes out. This was wrapped in saran wrap tight and taped to the jar.

Think the first flush is coming to an end now on my mono do i just leave the tub to 2nd flush ( if it is going to) like will it do it by itself just because when you 2nd flush a cake you have to dunk it , will i need to wet the mono ?

Give the mono a heavy misting with plenty of FAE and your 2nd flush should come in strong. No need to go through the hassle of dunking a monotub IMO.

Dunking produces more each flush over misting. Sometimes even quicker.

I'd dunk that:

Thank you, I have just misted it for the second flush , I will try a tribal dunk for the 3rd flush if it goes that far
