As quickly as they arrive, they're one with mother earth again.
I have missed a few opportunities to go check some patches, but I guess they have probably dried up.
This bit of rain made me think about them though

That's how I have dropped 20grams one go, so easy to consume by eating this way, the mushrooms are unnoticeable in the soup, they don't even taste like anything.
After being boiled, the water turns a bussy colour, it's the blue psilocybin or psilocin or whatever, to high to remember which one is responsible for the blue oxdization of the magic mushrooms.
I hate to be a buzzkill but psilocybin is water soluble so when you boil them in water a lot of potency is lot through steam, you're basically parboiling the magic right out of the mushrooms. That's why most people steep their dried mushroom in very hot water.
edit; Well I know that Psilocin is water soluble and psilocybin is broken down is Psilocin.
That's not true at all the boiling point of water is a mere 100°c as opposed to psilocin, 523.4°c. Almost four times the amount of energy required boil water would be needed to evaporate psilocin and other similar mass tryptamines in your tea. I assume the perceived net loss can be attributed to oxidation states of the different tryptamines found in psilocybin mushrooms causing them to have different chemical properties especially in a biological system, apart from solubility.

BAM and just like that, Hudson nails down the science that I couldn't be bothered trying to explain. Nice one dude.
It's like saying salt water will get less salty if you boil it.

Oxidation and boiling temperatures are not the same thing.
Oxidation starts occurring at a much lower temperature than boiling temperature.
It is like you are comparing melting metal with rusting metal. The two are unrelated to a degree.

Why don't we get a Mod to close this season thread, and then everyone can debate things on another thread maybe entitled - "Debates on basic chemistry that mystify the uninitiated", or something like that.
Either that, or finish high school

Nahh I'm still in season. Do not close this thread.
A few I managed to pick before being interrupted last night, It's a mission to get into this patch without some cunt rocking up. Some suspicious car just parked up infront and I wasn't in the mood for any kind of confrontation so i gassed.

I'll go back later on today, plus I got way more patches to check up on later on so don't close the thread.
I know there's more, plus I need to check my other patches.
