mushrooms (re)construct the ego (after loss)?

I know I shouldn't be posting here but I figured I'm too lazy to go through the forum to find this... relatively simple, probably widely asked question about mushrooms. Someone once told me, a friend, that once you lose your ego in a trip that one way, or something that happens is, eating mushrooms reconstructs your ego and gives you your personality back, because it is opening you up to the mechanisms in which we connect on a earthly and natural way. In short, have any of you found this to be true? I would appreciate no talk about how the ego doesn't really exist or any of that please, just what you have experienced. Thanks friends
PS. I also know that eating a large dose of mushrooms supposedly offers and gives you a proper "ego death" so for the sake of this argument lets use a low dose of mushrooms for context
PPS. Reading over this post before I've sent it has made me want to focus more on personality reconstruction, not necessarily egoic concepts. Okay. Discuss.

Going through life changing experiences can reconstruct your ego. Not just the mushroom or psychedelics. As mentioned a low dose then yes, you won't have an ego death. Although my definition of an E.D. Is what you realize about yourself so you can lose your ego in any trip.
My ego death was pretty harsh but I found it to be necessary. My whole perspective changed and I thought about how I looked but more on how I handled things, how I dealt with certain situations and how I treated people.
It doesn't give you your personality back, you do. Your mind opens up far beyond you can imagine and and your thoughts start to race. You become inspired, you start philosophizing and more importantly, you do connect in a earthy, natural way. It's a mushroom lol
Here's a link on what it does to "reconstruct" the brainhttp://naturalsociety.com/research-suggests-psychedelic-mushrooms-offer-valuable-brain-treatments/

Yes, in short. I have experienced exactly that in an E.D. last month - the old me was shed in spectacular projections & since that day til now I have found so much peace of mind, my only conclusion is that I needed that E.D. to reconnect my self to the natural world once again, to myself, to the universe, to all life as I know it. also I felt like I restarted my 3rd eye during that trip which has been a wonderful experience too. The whole world looks different now, I handle myself differently with my interactions in every aspect of life. And this last trip healed me of my recent depression too.
In other big Trips too, I have felt the effects long after the Trip finished as in months, its almost like these trips alter our reality back to a more natural instinctive perception? Life always seems more brighter and beautiful and I am happier afterwards.

To answer your original question, yes mushrooms can absolutely reconstruct your ego. Its very different for each individual so i can only speak for myself and my own experiences, but i have experienced a paradigm change in myself and my whole personality/ lifestyle due to some of my experiences with mushrooms. After those experiences i felt closer to the natural world and to my own nature than ever before. So while the answer to your question is yes this is just one possible experience and it doesn't always work out this way. The process is complicated and unique for everyone. It has to be the right time and state of mind. You may experience something totally different from what we describe. Also the only way to truly change yourself isn't through mushrooms, they are a catalyst, but you have to follow through.
This experience is beyond any measure of spoken or written language. If you'd like to know more, there's only one thing to do
ps. I recommend a higher dose for a more complete experience, but then again you do you
