Possible contamination update 2.0

What's up, everyone. This is sort of a 2.0 version of the post I made a few hours ago.
(Pics below)
I've done my research as time has passed and the contaminate has had time to mature, and I'm about 90% sure (for a noobie) that I'm dealing with schizophyllum commune contamination. *If somebody with more knowledge could confirm.
Regardless whether I'm correct or not, I've got a few questions on (SCC?).
Does the presence of SCC ruin the chances of any PCs growing? The contamination takes up about 1/4th of the cake (could I just remove the contam part and still use the cake?) I also heard that SCC is actually edible. If that's true, could I remove the contaminated part of the cake and use the rest of the cake/mycelium to make a tea?
Any info will help. I'm just a noobie trying to learn as much as I can.
Thanks!

I meant on your last thread you should post some pics lol. Yeah that is definitely not cubensis. It looks like it is S. Commune.
Better luck next time.. you should look into agar and grains for next time. A great place to start is thoroughly reading my improve your sterile procedures link in my signature

Do not try to eat a mushroom that you don't know exactly what it is or whether it is safe. Toss them!
