I found some more re-growth G. lucidum in coastal, southeastern GA. Not so much a similar habitat as the first, and not in a frequently flooded area.

By the looks of the pine needles you found Ganoderma meredithae. That is really cool, did you send those pictures to Dr. Blanchette?

Mixed forest here, but this guy was attached to the base of a Water Oak. Yes, I mailed 'em off today!

Cool, Oak would be G.curtisii then, G.meredithae and G.curtisii look pretty much exactly the same, there are som many mixed forests in the region that I wouldn't be surprised if G.meredithae wasn't actually just G.curtisii hopping species to pine.
