Insanemike is just that, insane.
I wanna cook some agar just so I can try and get them to pin. It seems to occur more frequently than what I thought they did a couple weeks ago.

My first ever invitro agar pins came from a clone that would pin on anything and in any condition, though it seemed. This is actually my first ever ms invitro agar pin but yes, I have heard of them popping up quite frequently.

Yea, I've noticed they are often thick and recently realized some potential drawbacks. I poured it thick thinking along the lines of where I wanted to view it. damn, hope not too weird. Maybe it's the lighting.

I fill my plates before sterilization. I weigh each plate out with 15 grams of agar/nutient solution. I use a syringe without a needle to do this. It makes it quck, clean and easy.

Don't over think it. If you pour thicker your plates will store longer. If you pour them thinner you save agar. I go a bit on the thick side because I always start my grows with invitro pins which can sometimes take a while.

I still have condensation on the sides of my mini rounds days after being PC'd....this a problemo or normal? I was playing around with recipe a little and the thicker agar cups I made have no condensation..

Normal, just make sure your heating up the pc slowly and letting the containers cool in the pc to keep it down to a minimum. I've tried the plastic containers and use glass 1/2 pints now and there is hardly any condensation with using them.

I've only used Glass jars and it there's a little condensation on the walls but not much.
Just don't want pooling water in the dish.

I think I might pick up some glass an give it try, would definitely help with seeing what the hell is going on in there. Do you use Pasty's recipe?

Got a few packs of Glad mini Rounds this morning.
Need agar media and can't get plates right now so it's warranted to give this TEK a whirl.
