Yeah, sounds like some bullshit fabricated by an egotistical psychologist.

Being a lucid dream, I was aware I was dreaming.
I don't think that entail's always being able to control every aspect.
My head was braced in a guillotine though, not much I could've done anyways.

Oh I see.  That seems pretty intense.  Dreams can be pretty crazy sometimes.

Yeah, my lucid dreams, save for a few(usually the ones I end up tripping in funnily enough) usually stop at being aware of the dream. I've ended up realizing I was dreaming, trying to fly, and only ended up jumping up and down repeatedly like an idiot and failing.

Haha. That's funny. I've had many of the same dreams exactly like that.  Also I've been aware enough to dream up a sex us partner in other dreams but I would always wake up before anything could happen.  Pretty similar to my real life lol.

Twoi nights ago I dreamt of dying and reincarnating. I was overjoyed to be a child again and freed from the constraints of my torturous 360lbs body.

I once became conscious during a dream, manifested a gun and asked the closest dream character to kill me with it. Felt a release/boundaries dissolve and then was sucked into a new dream.. hard to explain those states

I'm no stranger to trying to explain dreams that not only defy the realm of physics but defy all logic and comprehension.

I'm truly fascinated by dreams (and for the record to everyone who has brought it up, no this wasn't a "if you die in your dreams you die in real life" type of thread) because of how incomprehensible they can be. So abstract and bizarre that words could never really describe them. Dreams are kind of like Salvia in that way. Can try your damnedest to put the experience into words, but it will never come close to a real description/explanation of what you experienced.

I've never died in a dream though, so was wondering what that was like. My thinking was that trying to comprehend that (short of just the death being the end of that particular dream and a new one starting fresh) would break our brains. Trying to compute something when we have no idea what it's really like.

I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear.

It's a shame that stimulants aren't an option because of your heart. They're highly effective in certain doses. Not the healthiest way to lose weight, but when someone talks about their body as "torturous" it makes me consider it a decent option.

The one dream that comes to mind has pretty much haunted me since.

I shot myself in the head, but I couldn't die. Like you, things would fade to black, but I'd come back. So I did it again, and again, and again. Each time I stuck the gun in my mouth and pulled the trigger.
When I finally woke up the roof of my mouth was stinging.

edit: I've also tripped in dreams, and it's always freaking awesome. Definitely more alice-in-wonderland esque than any real trip, though it does lack the profound feelings and revelations and just the mental aspect of tripping in general.

That's absolutely crazy insane.  At times I slip into the "what is happening right niw isn't true reality", when those times it is and some stupid things happen because I not think as real. Once, held bag of ethylone in hand while in shower and watched the two chunks sliwly melt with the water. Or, the next day, taking me cell phone into shower fully clothed. The darn shower turned into the far out reality where nothing was real, but in turn, it was. The idea of shooting self with gun like that blows my mind..

Death in dreams...  One of many, fade to white to awake in bed.

Considering the number of people who have died in their sleep there are countless people who died in a dream.

Unless you're talking about some bullshit where somebody died in a dream and woke up and they were OK, which is common.

Sometimes when i lucid dream, i still choose to see what the dream itself wants to show me. Feels like i learn more about my mind this way.

Like if I'm not aware I'm dreaming, I'm more likely to miss details. If i realize it mid dream, i take note of everything, and feel i learn more.

Another thing i heard is it's impossible to read in a dream. Anyone ever read in a dream? After my friend told me this i remembered reading in a couple, but it was total gibberish, or an alien language that is comparable to tripping and trying to read a foreign languages instruction manual.

I lucid dreamed for the first time in a long time the other morning. I woke up half asleep and shut my eyes and was clearly seeing geometric lines expanding, contracting, multiplying, swirling etc. then I opened my eyes and closed them again and like watched a visual scene kind of fade into my field of vision. I was totally conscious looking at my arms in front of me, and it had this psychedelic theme, it was just really flowy. Wish I could do that shit on command lol
