Where can a commoner find antiobiotics that work well with cultures?

Ive had problems with bacteria entering plates during tissue transfer despite all efforts at keeping the extraction site upstream of the rest of the fruit. I recall seeing a number of videos on youtube done by a professional mycologist who reccommended gentamycin, an antibacterial antiobiotic, however all the suppliers who had it would not sell to a commoner, you must be a hallowed institution complete with ivory towers. I asked if the substance required a license to order, they said no.
Im not sure what the issue is but it is not a legal one, where then can us independent mycologists acquire the necessary antiobiotics to ensure clean cultures?

Pet store, aquarium shop. Idk the ratio, there's probably a Tek. Some aqaurium antibiotics are made with it I believe. I haven't tried it yet, regular LMEA has worked so far.

They have had what they love most taken from them, be it freedom, love, money, or anything for that matter. When you lose your greatest love you also lose your greatest fear, when that happens you are completely and utterly free.

Ebay, not sure if it is still there but we managed to snag some as an aquarium cleaning product sold as an apparently pure powder in little baggies.
I don't know the proper dosage, but I do small batches between 100 and 200 ml of agar and pull a little bit out of the bag with my exacto blade and knock it into the solution. I think too much slows the mushroom down. But I don't know what too much might be.

50mg Gentamicin-sulfate per Liter medium will be sufficient and will not slow down mycelium growth.
