Advice Please? (Green Mold)

This is my first time growing. i have prepared my own substrate for my other jars but my first attempt so far was done with jars bought online. There were no warning signs prior....no mold/discoloring in the jars. I have barely gotten a flush out of them and there is green mold on every cake without exception. I just really don't understand how this could have happened. I have a Hepa filter pushing clean air into my closet and I am using the shotgun monotub tek and misting 4 times a day. It was my understanding that once the jars were fully colonized that there was a much much lower chance of contamination yet every single cake has mold. I have 48 more pint jars at different stages, this time prepared myself, and I would very much like to figure out how to avoid this in the future because this is pretty fucking pathetic.
Right now I am wondering if I have to be extra cautious in the future by only using distilled water for misting/dunking, contrary to what I have seen every other person do, and avoiding open air fruiting altogether. I don't really care...I'd do anything to avoid another disappointment like this.

Can you take a picture? If it was fully colonized before you birthed them, chances are that your cakes are drying out from too much FAE. Up the misting and see if they recover. What do you have your SGFC sitting on top of?

Quit running the HEPA. Its not doing anything.
If all your jars are contamd it is obviously your prep technique. Are you sterilizing the cakes properly? Are you being as clean and careful as possible when injecting the spores?

I have no idea what you mean by sterilizing the cakes. I just dunked and rolled immediately after birthing. These are my tubs though. They are sitting on shotglasses. the one on the left has a heating pad on it...figured it was worth a shot cuz the tubs didn't seem to be maintaining humidity very well. I also don't know how NOT having enough moisture would stimulate the growth of green mold. As you can see, when i started dehydrating the shrooms I found out the mold had been fairly good at growing through everything. Those shrooms definitely don't look edible.

Remove the heating pad. Its pointless, and it won't do anything for your humidity. Them mushrooms look fine.
Im talking about when you boiled or pc'd your jars before knocking them up. You DID cook them first, right?

The picture is grainy, but they look okay. Just waterlogged.
I've picked and eaten mushrooms from a contaminated substrate many, many times with no ill effect.

If contams don't matter then what's the point in being sterile?

They look like aborts to me, or maybe even just covered with spores, not contaminates. Maybe a bit of bruising. Can we get a close-up of the cakes themselves? Mist more, and turn off that hepa filter. Elevate your terrariums on an upside down milk crate if you have one. Does that wipe off at all?

Contaminated substrates have reduced yield, sometimes no yield.
