I chugged 5 grams of tea one night and listened to a relaxation app.
When I opened my eyes I was like...

Then spend the first hour of your trip debating rather or not you want to drink more!
At least, that's how it tends to work for me

Tea works great and is my preferred method, but there are times when it's not particularly convenient to make on the go. 2nd favorite method is to grind them into a powder and just mix them in with some orange juice and chug it.

I always wind up disappointed with tea, it comes on faster but its not as intense and it doesn't last as long. I would say I'm doing it wrong, but its pretty damn fool proof, plus I've tried every conceivable approach to the process. Maybe I just need to use a lot more than I would have eaten?
Straight up eating them, or mixed in o.j., or chocolates, or yogurt, or peanut butter crackers are my standard teks now.

I love/usually go with the capsule route. its perfect. Just like eating them straight besides it takes abot 10-15 minutes more to feel initial effects

Yea that makes sense, they're easier to break up into small pieces and greater surface area means more actives are transferred to the tea. Unless you eat the chunks at the bottom of the cup, then the effects should be about the same, wet or dry.

For a microdose I'll use a capsule. For a real trip I'll make tea. No fancy procedure- I just put the dried cubes into a tea ball along with a bag of lipton tea, add hot water and a squezed lemon and wait 15 minutes.
I have this:

Why not just add water and fresh mushrooms to a blender...blend it...then put into a pot and simmer it down to a nice drinkable amount?
That's what I would do if I was making tea from fresh mushrooms.

Because the chitin in the mushrooms can cause many people to have stomach discomfort. Although perhaps cooking it may neutralize that. I'm not sure. Sounds slimy and gross tho.

Following Primal Soup's recipe and adding a bit of extra water after it's simmered along with a couple of ice cubes makes for a fairly tasty beverage imo.

You got that right.
