I know the community might disagree but I'm going to use my pint size jars as a substitute for petri dishes

Both of those look like you could get a clean transfer out of. I'd recommend transfering the 1st ones white shit to some new plates, and the 2nd one on the top edge, away from the small white growth on the bottom of it.

One problemo, I have no more plates and upon observation that white shit looks like grey cobweb, but then I read that is super hard to get the cobweb contamination.

Often spores will do growths similar to it. The only way to know for sure is to get transfers going. Also I can see rizmorphs. Something cobweb doesn't have.

its hard to tell from pictures because of shitty white balance settings but though the cobweb on this plate looks white it was pretty off white. the cube mycelium is in the middle it's the brighter white and it was completely overcame.

cobweb is a bit of a bad word since there's cobweb disease which is a disease of the fruit body crop. and then what shroomery calls cobweb mold which can be many species of molds with a similar morphology. but may have very different spores for instance

The short half pints work good, any small plastic storage container will work as long as it is marked pp5 recycling code on the bottom and you can see inside.

Also I use the powder agar from a Asian market instead of the bars and follow the write up in the link

Thanks Bros, yall always come through for me. As far as the agar is concerned I went and bout the agar powder from the whole food market and followed the dog food agar tek. Is this a good agar to work with or should I go with the one you suggested.

Any agar will work, and dog food agar is legit!

Hello Bros, in the wee early hours of the morning, I conduct a transfer of colonized agar. I didn't have any of the suggested tools, so I used tweezers to do my bidding. Is this permissible or did I go against the grain?

As long as your tweezers were sterile you'll be fine. Good luck with your transfers.

Yep, probably not the easiest thing to use, make sure to fame sterilize red hot then cool in the receiving dish. I use an exacto knife  from craft section at Walmart for a scapel. Thin changeable blades that are easy to flame, cool and cut:thumbup:

Thanks, looks like it does have any contamination issues thus far. Just received a shipment of new goodies. PS Tampanensis psilocybe mexicana, panaeolus cyanescens Jamaica
