Got my syringe and there is a blob footing in it. Is this the spores? Or is this not good?

Probably just spores, but could you please post a picture so we can be sure?

With the exception of a few types...spores are dark purple... You are probably fine.

I like to heat my needle red hot...then very carefully squeeze a drop out to cool the needle...unless you are using a SHIP.

Flame until the needle is red hot. It will turn black first (because you're using a lighter), then slowly turn red.
Flame sterilize between each JAR, not each inoculation hole. .25 cc a hole for 1cc total each BRF jar. Grains is 1CC as well.
After flame sterilization gently push down on the plunger. It'll shoot out steam until a drop of liquid comes out. Let the drop gently fall and then push your needle through the hole, making sure to angle it TOWARDS THE GLASS. I look down and check to make sure my needle is against the glass sometimes but you can feel it.
If you push and it feels difficult and nothing's coming out gently pull your needle upward while shooting. BE CAREFUL, this will immediately loosen up your needle and if you're pushing too hard you'll shoot way too many CCs into a hole.

Like said above, shake it like crazy and break that beast up. I know what vendor that came from just by looking, only one i know of that puts a large clump like that. Everyone elses seem to be bearly noticable withoit microscope, which is honestly all u need. Again shake it up and only use a few drops, 1cc is over kill with this vendors syringes.

Maybe for agar...
For BRF or grains use 1cc... .25 cc a hole in BRF, 1cc shot at the walls for grains.

I like to use as few drops as possible on cakes way less than 1cc and for grains maybe a half cc. It's preference. But that spore syringe could be diluted into 100 more syringes and still work great

I know which one it is too but yeah seriously. Shake that thing up hard. Seriously could dilute it a hundred times over and still be fine

haha, same here, I wondered if people noticed it, was going to say "if I'm not mistaken those spores look like Burmas"
I got burmas from the same vendor. The syringe was fully emptied, every last bit of water squirted out. I then sucked up a small bit of malt extract solution to try and get any remaining spores stuck to the plunger to grow. It worked and has gone on to be fully successful
