Ethnobotanical pictures: psycho active plants * 1
    #22013461 - 07/29/15 06:10 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

This is a part of my collection, I did delete a huge amount of pretty pictures. Sit back and chill.

Atropa belladonna (atropine, scopalamine: narcotic, toxic)

Sida rhombifolia (phenylpropanolamine: stimulant)

Sida cordifolia (contains more phenylpropanolamine: stimulant)

Tropical DMT containing weed (the leaves are extremely bitter and they are used to see "black magic" in east-Java)

Peganum harmala (harmaline and derivates: MAO-A inhibitor)

San Pedro (mescaline: psychostimulant)

I have much more pictures about my collection, they are lost in the cloud. I'm Indonesian so sorry if my English is bad. Feel free to ask questions, growers suggestions are welcome and the name of that weed that grows very local on a hidden place for the drug hunting government, my neighbors collect magic mushrooms and get drunk.

Banyuwangi is in east-Java and a wild place far from the civilian world, it's a traffic jam but a rogue place to live with much noise and very warm every day, it's surrounded by mountains like Ijen (Sulfur mining) and Raung (an active volcano).

In the south there is Green Bay and more to the corner of south-east Java you really need a drone or something as the jungle there is very dense and apart from that there are many dangerous wild animals and snakes, mosquito's, bloodsuckers and many small black ants. It's more wetland jungle but many people disappeared in that huge untouched jungle.

Banyuwangi means in Bahasa Jawa Osing
banyu = water
wangi = nice smell

Water with a nice smell.  :calledajoke:

I hope you can see my post, all kinds of tips are really appreciated !
As I live now in Belgia, a small kingdom.

That is beautiful.

I'm a ethno plant cultivator and really enjoy hearing about new plants. Do you have the name for that weed and have you ever used it before?

Also alcohol is illegal where you live isn't it?

'I don't know', Alice answered.
'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

This is where my family lives:

On the front I see this if I'm again in Java:

On the back there are roofs of other houses and one drone that I see if it get dark. Indonesia does have 3 time zones:
- Javanese
- Bali
- Timor, rather dry islands nearby Australia like Ambon.

I have no idea if this is already officially described as we don't see tourists in this village and everyone speaks local Javanese, they don't can speak or understand English: they aren't serious and 0% interested in weed, they taste one leave and then laugh: asuuuu!

I don't know how to start searching. I have to wait to observe the flowers and fruits to know some more about the botanical family.
Good question !

Alcohol is legal: Bingtang is the local beer, it's the biggest Muslim country but not so fanatic. They smoke, relax, help each other to get food and fix things. Did you know that they even use old coconuts to make their own alcohol?

It's as easy as that so you can not ban it.

Important: leave your prescription drugs in the original box: all your luggage is scanned and there are many hard luck stories about vitamins that are found in plastic bags. Then they 'test' it, meanwhile they
disappear for a while and come back with a false positive test result and claim that it's xtc. You have to pay for such a corruption jokes, so pay attention on that aspect.

If you are Indonesian you don't need a prescription for diazepam and some other prescription drugs. If you are tourist you may try but they send you to the local doctor because you can pay the full price but they are easy to get if you ask it for the airplane trip or something.

You have Indonesian prices and tourist prices, beware of corruption.
Java is way cheaper and if you can fix a local guide (with a car or motorbike) for a price then this is the way to see a lot of untold things and places.

Much noise always: volcano, the train to Malang also at night, 5 times a day you hear the Koran for about 30 minutes, children and traffic sleep medication might be a good idea for say 2 very active weeks in Java (if you skip Bali then you get a really cheap holiday).
:jamming:

This was just a intermezzo to prepare myself on the next load of pictures: I can't force the nature and sometimes I have a heavy life, always working.

Have a nice Day !
