And a rather foolish opinion at that.
-------------------- You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers

So, what are they for?
IMO, lawyers are no different from plumbers. Idiots want toilets, so they hire plumbers. Idiots want to use the law for their benefit, so they hire lawyers.

Lawyers are responsible for making the law incomprehensible in order to secure a permanent niche. Most cases are painfully obvious. All a plumber needs to do to secure a permanent niche is to recognize gravity and the utility of tubes. They did not create those things.

So basically the reasoning is that he deserved to die because the cop has his hands in the car while the guy tried to take off. Well the cop was a dumbass for having his hands in there anyways, no argument there.
Let's say he didn't put his hands in there. THEN would he have the right to shoot the guy? Do cops have the right to shoot ANY person who flees away in their car, given the arguments in this thread about "but he could've killed other people by driving off recklessly"?
To make a logical continuation of that argument, wouldn't that mean that anyone who tries to drive away from a cop deserves to die for it?

I don't recall that being your answer. They are far less useful than plumbers, their job is far less justifiable and most of them make less money than plumbers.

I'd agree with all of those statements, but not everyone can be a plumber. Some of us have to take what we can get.

Actually, no...I didn't. I said that cops can't shoot people for running or resisting arrest. That statement was true when I made it and is true now, no matter how much you'd like to twist my words into something else or twist outdated law into something to serve your biased goal of justifying a cop shooting an unarmed man in the head for trying to drive away.
Actually, what the cop did was execute someone for starting their car.

Not so much. The driver tried to drive away. He started the car and put it in drive. It's also not clear that he "executed" the guy. Most likely he pulled his gun like a dipshit and accidentally pulled the trigger. I seriously doubt he shot the guy in the head on purpose.
