Questions after 1st flush on monotub [stumps, aborts, mold, etc] <pics>

It has only been 6 days after the 1st flush. The tub was dunked and drained. There are SO many new pins, but I do have a couple of questions.
1. The trunks seem to get this white fuzzy growth, and something weird on it. Are the edible?

2. I also have a couple pins that have developed way faster than the other pins. Should I chop them off when ready and continue to let the others grow before dunking again?

3. My casing looks disgusting. With all the aborts (which will be clipped next flush), the casing looking weathered, and possible contams, can I still pumping out fruits? Obviously if it turns green I'm dumping it, as long as fruits are producing I'm assuming it's ok..is that right?
Here are pics of all the little pins/casing/stumps:

The trunks are turning back into mycelium. Normal.
Harvest as they mature or they'll drop spores everywhere. MS is notorious for uneven flushes.
It'll pump until it turns yellowish. Then you know it's done. Pick the aborts.

I thought trunks were mycelium?
Can't wait until I start playing with agar/isolation for even pinsets, etc.
Also, will it do any harm in leaving the aborts until the day I dunk the tub?

No, they're psychoactive though and IMO make my sub look ugly so I pick them when I harvest.
I see you're cutting your trunks, have you tried twisting and pulling first?
The trunks are mycelium but the mycelium must revert back to the substrate. The whole mushroom is alive up until you dry it. If you were to pick a mushroom and drop it on agar it would revert back to colonization stage and colonize the agar.
The mycelium knows it's been picked so it's reverting the energy from the stump to do other things.

Thanks for the clarification
As far as the twist & pull method, I chose against it. Read some of RR's posts stating that pulling the trunk from the substrate not only stresses the surrounding pins/environment (which will produce less yield on subsequent flushes), but also makes the substrate more susceptible to contamination

I don't know about that but okay. I twist and pull everything and get 3 flushes. He's referring to pulling mushrooms next to other mushrooms ruining future pinsets.

Do you patch the holes back up?
I know that I would get more of a yield that way, its just being my first time I wanted to be extra cautious.
Regardless, I will pull everything before dumping the tub. Doubt i'll eat the gross looking ones, but I can still make tea

No, mushrooms just grew everywhere else . After the first flush it's pretty hard to get a second canopy. Most of the time it's pins the sub couldn't support earlier or stragglers from the last flush.
