How can I go about keeping spore prints sterile?

From what I understand, no spore print or syringe is ever going to be completely sterile due to the fact that they came from fruits grown in open air. What is the best way to take prints and make spore syringes while maintaining the cleanest conditions? Also, how should spore prints be stored for long periods of time, and what is the best way to ship them to another member?

still air box, wipe the tinfoil clean with alcohol place it in the box, wait till the alcohol evaporates
use a surgical max, clean your scissors with alcohol before cutting the cap off, never touch the gills, never mist before cutting the caps off
clean your room, clean the table, wipe it off with alcohol, close the door and windows try to think through every step
let the caps print for at least 24 hrs, remove the caps once you see a really dark print, let the print dry for another 24hrs
thats it

Don't worry as much about sterile prints and just learn agar. I'm not saying don't try to be sterile but if you move from spore to agar a small amount of contam won't be an issue because you can transfer away from it. Anyone receiving the prints should be using agar as well. It would be great to say your prints are free of contams but it's unlikely if you are making many at one time.

Incorrect. Besides taking invitro prints in front of a flowhood or something another way to take sterile prints is to harvest fruits before veil tears open and under sterile conditions break/rip/tear the veil away with a flame sterilized scalpel and take prints that way. When ripping the veil away it takes a few days for spores to begin depositing from the cap. Couple both of the aforementioned methods for best results.

Thanks! After taking the print, what is the best way to store it? Is it best to slip it into a plastic bag while inside the monotub, seal, and store in the fridge?
