Looking for fast and superior methods here; what can be done? Adding to a mixture of 60/40 in a tub? I'm trying to stay away from coir...

Indeed. Spawn to a properly pasteurized bulk substrate comprised of 60% manure (horse)/40% vermiculite into a monotub and/or trays inside of a fruiting chamber at a 1:2 grain spawn to bulk substrate ratio. When using straight manure and verm I like to go 70/30-75/25%.

Everything I have done was pretty much all with coir as well. Sometimes I'll throw a little manure in with the coir/verm tho

I'm guessing OP had a bad experience. And wants to blame it on material not self.

Fast to to prepare or fast to fruit?
Coir or straight verm would probably be the easiest and faster to prepare. In terms of fruiting speed, cased straight grains will probably be the fastest, though it will probably gimp your yield. Can't say for sure as I haven't done a side-by-side, but CSG's should be ready for FC's within 4ish days, vs the 1 week + of bulk. Definitely try some bottomwatering if you try cased straight grains. Water seemed to get sucked up pretty effectively when I tried it, even though violet says shaken grains es no bueno.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

OP just get some quality coir, organic verm(the kind in my avatar lol), and some gypsum. Properly pasteurize the mix for one hour and there ya go (Frank's Pasteurization tek is da bomb). Simple and effective. No need to want to jump to poo, I would master using one substrate first.
