Alcohol?

I know this sounds weird.. but I saved a bunch of stump trimmings, mixed it in with some left over WBS and it had colonized WBS still attached to some.
I thought it would be cool to collect the trimmings and do a grow from it, how ever I smelled it today.. It smells so strongly of alcohol that I can't even open it near my face. It has been able to breathe.
What the heck is going on here? I just saved coir/wbs/stumps?

Sounds like fermentation. Did you pasteurize everything before mixing with the semi-colonized wbs? Either the coir, wbs, or stump pieces could have had yeast in them.

I picked mushrooms and cut off the stumps. So, everything was already 100% colonized. The WBS that was mixed in was just left over of a freshly spawned tub. So everything should of been pretty solid, besides the massive amounts of handling the stumps received.
It's some kinda fermentation, I am gonna light this shit on fire

Oh i thought you meant wood shavings from a tree stump. Idk where the vector presented the infection but a strong alcoholic smell is indicative of yeast. Any discoloration or slime?
It is probbly best to toss it out or burn it

Yup sounds like yeast moved in. What are you going to grow on it?

Fermentation odors are generally related to a lack of gas exchange or excessive moisture.
