Pinning in holes.
    #22013259 - 07/29/15 04:13 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

So I've got a montub going, it's been in fruiting for slightly more than a week now and the first pins have showed. However all the pins i get are either inbetween the subtrate and the tub, or in holes on the subtrate.
Am I fanning it too much drying the cake out and because it prefers pinning in more humid areas etc the holes and the edge i only get pins there?

Thanks in advance.

I take it you didn't use a liner?

No lining, i dont mind them growing on the sides i would just like to improve the rest of the tub so it gets the same conditions.

Well a liner would still be your solution:thumbup:

Because theyre gonna fruit wherever they feel suitable so you can either leave the liner out and get the side pins and maybe some ontop as well or you can use a liner and most should form more uniformly on the top of the sub. Its really your choice tho and wat you prefer:shrug:

Sounds like you aren't acheiving an ideal pinning surface leading to shittons of sidepins.  Probably needed to tighten the bottom holes.  Liner really does help.

This contains all the info you should need on monotub adjustment:

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister.  I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave.  I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent.
Triggered yet?

No, this does not look right...
