My patch is still producing Psilocybe Subaergunosia.. BUT
I'm noticing they are less and less after each rainy week, Can I take the base from subs and some dirt/pine needles (They grow in woodchip under pine tree's.. perfect I know) and grow my own or do these particular mushrooms need natural conditions for fruiting to grow successfully?
And also can anyone answer me this.. if I accidently destroyed a patch earlier in the season when I was noob from removing bases.. will they re-appear next season or have I ruined that patch forever and they won't likely show up in that part of my patch again?
This is serious stuff, I cannot imagine a year without my medicine.

*edit* I should also ask, although almost the same question.. If I accidentally ever knocked out a base can I replant it and expect it to grow or is it very delicate to the exact spot it grew?
I suspect these very questions plague the mind of my fellow seekers so it would be fantastic if they could be accurately addressed.
Thank you.

Look at my signature, those were the ones I'm talking about..
I was so exited and inexperienced when I saw the blue that I went ripping without remorse.. now look at me.. begging for them to come back

Another question that I'm sure lingers in the mind of Southern Australian hunters is.. How long does Subaergunosia take to mature fully?
1 week? is there a sub expert? we need one.

The mushrooms are just the reproductive parts of a larger fungal organism. The vegetative part of the fungus (the mycelium) is growing through the substrate (wood chips/debris in the case of subs). So long as the mycelium is healthy and has enough nutrients to fruit again, it will keep growing and fruit again next season.
If you put fresh stem butts between pieces of cardboard and keep it moist the mycelium will grow over the cardboard. You can then transfer the colonised cardboard to a patch of wood chips and start a new patch.
How long it takes a sub to mature will depend on environmental factors (like temperature, moisture content, humidity, wind exposure). It might take a few day or more than a week.

This is a good place to start bro, but you won't have results within a year! P.sub outdoor grow
For subs, if you haven't kept surplus then you'll have to wait till next season.
