Outdoor cultivation brainstorming...help me get the wheels turning.

Everything is ready for my first BRF grow and I’m just sitting around waiting on my spores to get here... plenty of time to think. So I think I want to start planning and building an outdoor grow for next spring and would appreciate the input on the below brainstorming. I am reading as much as I can in the Outdoor Cultivation sub-forum but many of the threads are old or are from different parts of the country. I’m really trying to figure out what materials I need and a timeline to use them...and I want this to look as eye appealing as possible...using all natural materials for border and surroundings.
If something sounds retarded...say it...I have thick skin. If I’m on the right path with another idea...help me build on it.
• Thinking of growing Golden Teacher or B+...using spore prints I collect over the next few months from healthy, potent specimens grown indoors.
Time of year: • We have freezing weather mid-December to mid-February (20’s-30’s). • We are hot as shit mid-June to October • I believe this gives me optimal fruiting conditions in March, April, May and into June. • Do I work the colonized material into my bed, mixing it by turning it over and over?...or just over it with my growing medium? • Covering with a tarp during March until the temps come up.
Substrate/medium/cow shit: • Substrate for colonization: I have no fucking clue...I need to read, read, read...any suggestions? • Although I am still researching what the right ratio of ingredients should be I am thinking: worm castings, hay/straw, cow or horse shit, clean dry wood shavings and vermiculite. (I stole the idea from this post made a number of years ago (in my part of the country I think): Golden Teacher Outdoor Grow • What kind of wood should I add to my mix? • Wondering WHEN I should begin mixing this and letting it sit? Maybe in the fall to allow for decay of wood and straw? • So I am thinking the best time to add the colonized substrate would be... February? • Are there any other plants, ground cover or material that are shroom friendly? Low growing soft plants (we call them horse’s nose around here), larger rocks that may help hold moisture
Size/depth/location: • I’m thinking of using a corner of the yard that is mostly shady but the sun peeks in on a few times a day. • It will be slightly triangular in shape with fencing on 2 sides for protection. • Although a raised bed, I’ll dig down a bit so the growing mix/environment is at least 12 inches deep

Check out the outdoor cultivation archive, some good grows there and it'll give you some ideas. Outdoors is pretty simple, if you have good spawn you should have success.
Good luck
