Mycelium or nasty mold?
    #22010518 - 07/28/15 04:05 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Could someone say if this is mold or mycelium? My bet is with the first one, but it's growing pretty slow. It's my first kit and these pics are after 7 days;

Thanks

Looks like mycelium but it would help to know the species. Also if it is a sterilize substrate and you removed the lid you just contaminate the substrate and will get over ran by bacteria or mold.

Oh no dude don't take of those lids!

If the variant is what I'm assuming, the mycelium looks great.

It's Psilocybe cubensis (The Mexican). It has been in a plastic bag for 7 days now without the lid. Followed the instructions on the kit. Glad to hear it's probably just  myc :smile:

It's not a PF tek, it is just a cased prepackaged.

The knowing the strain won't help.

It looks like healthy mycelium.
