how long can shrooms be kept consolidating without any damage or loss?

HI THERE!
I have my mushrooms fully colonized, just waiting to build a swamp cooler to low the temp down and let them out of the jars.
I wonder how long can I keep them fully colonized / incubating ?
cheers

Do you mean consolidating? Because incubating has been proven unnecessary. Anyways if you do mean consolidating, you are suppose to keep them consolidating for a week after they fully colonize. Then you begin the dunk and roll. For me though my jars won't consolidate for that long. In all my jars I see pins forming within 1-2 days of being fully colonized which forces me to begin the dunk and roll right away. So just be sure to keep an eye on your fully colonized jars. No sense in making them wait when they are ready to pin

Okay... why are you building a cooler, if you also have them incubating? Is it too hot or too cold in the room? It can't be both.
If we're talking about cakes here, then they're gonna pin with or without you. Normal consolidation time is 1 week past visual 100% colonization. After that it's probably best to dunk and roll, and put them in fruiting.
73-75F is the temp you want them around. They're still fine as low as ~67ish but they'll slow down a bit, and be a little more dense than if it were higher. I don't know what a swamp cooler is, or maybe it's eluding me right now, but consider a SGFC if you can keep the room in that temperature.

If you have pf jars and they finished colonizing then you should let them consolidate for a week

Yeah they are fully colonized, my room temp is about 28°C, sometimes up to 30°C. So I'm building a cooler to fruit them.
Should I put them in the fridge or just leave them consolidating for a little longer than necessary?

Why is your room temp that high? Fruiting in a cooler is really not gonna be super effective for cubes. My CPU on this PC is cooler than that dude.. 30C inside... yeesh..
Sounds like a one way ticket to sweaty nuts.

They'll fruit but some other stuff might take off as well. And hollow stems would be expected.

I would only put them in the fridge if they start pinning before you're ready to birth them.

Unnecessary. The moisture that evaporates from a fruiting substrate is all the cooling you need in hot weather. Just need to keep them hydrated.

A swamp cooler is a home made evaporative cooler.. he's talking about using it to lower the temperature in his room not to fruit out of.

I wish somebody would tell me this stuff sooner. I just as soon figured it was some goofy ass cold weather fruiting chamber.
Yay tidbits.
