What's eating these???
    #22010386 - 07/28/15 03:34 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

So about 4 spent cakes were broken up and mixed with about 5 cups of verm and 2 cups of BRF...

Then thrown out in a well watered place that doesn't get direct sun after 1 or 2pm.    Also worth mentioning it's 94-97 in the day, and bright and sunny, and I guess the lows are around 85-88 at night.

It's summahtime!

So...  the large bowl of material of was thrown under some ceder mulch...  a little bit later...  PINS!

Yah... even in this weather.

But...  There are squirrels.  They eat tomatoes as soon as they start to have any color (and sometimes before)...  not sure if they are the culprits as to why these aren't completely whole, or if ants are getting to them or what, but something looks like they are having some fun...

What do you think?    Do we have stoned squirrels?

The holes in two of them make me think it's some sort of worm.  But the way the others have been sheered off, makes me think some sort of ant...  but...  I'm at a loss.    Def a little worried about rabies or other cooties that might be on them...    Thoughts please!!!

It looks like the one on the left was untouched... so that's nice.

upload the pic to this site. many, including myself, will not click offsite links.

slugs/snails are probably the culprit.

So...  I'm not picking on you, but everyone who obviously doesn't know what imgur is, and obviously doesn't know how to look at URL...

imgur.com is all you need to look at...

Anything that comes before imgur.com is part of their site.  So if you trust the site, by default, it's pretty easy to trust the prefix.

And while this is more of a generalization, for the most part, especially for large sites like imgur, it's safe to assume it's a safe thing to click on...

*shrug*

I'm sure that's a very clever reference to something...

Thanks Achillita.  Imgur saves bandwidth for the site... so, I'm not quite sure the opposition for it, besides laziness and wanting the picture in the thread.

Rorry porries or snails... makes sense.  Thanks!
