Progessive Trap music?

Hey guys,
So i just went to a music festivals this weekend, heard a lot of Trap music (which everyone there was LOVING it).
However, i cant stand Trap. Way too jerky for me.
However, right after this Trap Dj, theres another Dj that played and he played a fusion genre that sounded like Progressive Trap.
It was a combo of Trap beats (also like Breaks) and the Trqp bassline but blended with the surreal, dreamy sound of Progressive.
Anyone heard music like this?
If so, i wanna hear more.
I have to admit, I kinda liked it

Yeah first thing I thought of was Mr. Carmack too. Listen to Team Supreme shit... [flash=480,81]http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=[flash=480,81]http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=[/flash][/flash]

This is a little more experimental maybe you don't mean this kind. Actually I just re-read your description, you definitely don't mean this kind of "progressive" haha, but I'm leaving it anyway. i dont have the name of the dj sadly.
There was a white board at the festival with all the names of the DJs playing by the hour and stage, but stupidly i never took a picture of it. I was only there for Sunday.
As for Trap, the only artist i like is Dj Snake. Maybe some Diplo and Jack U. Not my favorites, but decent. Thats about it.

mr carmack at camp bisco was kinda a train wreck
dude straight up just kept fucking up and cutting out the sound, it was weird as fuck, its like an amp blew but it didnt, hes just kinda new to DJing, hes mostly a producer
at one point he accidently turned off the sound but he could still hear it in his headphones i guess so hes still doing his thing and like dancing to the music but nobody in the crowd could hear any music, someone had to go up to him and tell him nobody could hear any music
after that the music was just like at such a low volume that it was just embarassing
then the next set speakers were fine too
pretty fuckin disappointing, mr carmack at night to a bisco crowd woulda been the perfect kinda weird

I was at that dude! I was so pissed off! I was wanting to see him second only to Tipper, if I'm being dead honest with you. So yeah, I was bummed as shit. Everyone was telling me the speakers fucked up but I don't know. I mean, it's possible to have the volume that's going out to the crowd turned down on your mixer and still have it cued up and playing in your headphones, but he'd have to be a pretty god damn huge doofus to somehow do that, and especially then to not realize it. Very curious, I didn't actually see the very beginning, I RAN my ass there and then showed up and it was fucking packed and nearly silent. I still danced my ass off because it got SLIGHTLY louder then but holy shit... I'll never know what that was about...

I just saw G Jones and stopped. Jealous, I would love to see him live. I'm a big fan of his sound lately. Shit, when I was way younger I used to listen to the stuff he put out as Grizzly J and then only shortly after realized it's the same dude.

an-ten-nae and G Jones produce some seriously fuckin dope trap
an-ten-nae was spinning trap like way before it was a thing
if you saw either of them then thats pretty cool, Bassnectar pretty much wants to be G Jone's mentor kinda, he sees a lot of himself in G Jones and theyre from the same area
G Jones is like as real as it gets imo

dude at first the sound was fine, shit was bumpin
then he just became retarded, like legit after 3-4 minutes of him dancing and the speakers being silent someone came on stage (someone said it was another DJ) and was like dude wtf are you fucking doing and then the music came back on but it like wasnt even half the volume it was before...its like yo seriously?
on reddit some dude said he was the VJ for a lot of sets at that stage and he was during carmack and he said no amp blew or anything, they were all confused as fuck...carmack is still new to DJing, i really think he just fucked up super badly, ive never seen anything like it (you know, besides PL the night before)
after that set plus Pretty Lights being a total fucking spunion, i was ready to go home and skip day 3, i was like thaaaaaaat close

So true. Except, in my opinion, G Jones already blows bassnectar away as far as production goes. Like it's not even close. Maybe that's just coming through my eyes because I do production as well and I just like that he is pushing shit in a creative way or something but yeah... In my opinion, idk if Bassnectar needs to be his mentor or if he's just trying to get tight with him because he knows he is the fuckin future and wants to stay around for a lot longer. Who knows. G Jones is also doing that project with DJ Shadow which is pretty huge, Shadow is, obviously, a legend in the game.
