To be honest in my inexperienced opinion it's not the same species as the others. Pic may not show it but quite distinctively different from those others

Grow in close proximity to each over a lot and i just have tons of field experience with semiglobatas being mixed with libs, when i take people picking i have to weed out 100's of their bags cause they're new to itQuote:

Here's a couple of macro shots of the gills of the last big one (99.99% sure it's not psychoactive but for identification purposes:

Another pan. sp close to foenisecii, would need a print to be 100% and looks past it

They are all good even the round headed ones, they're all lib gills.

Is it common to find round headed libs? How do you tell them apart from other types? Just the gills?

firstly i thought that I may have missed the season 4 weeks or so ago after finding only the odd few, but I've finally came to the conclusion that it must be waiting to start still?
A lot of the more prolific posters on here have said that the shroom is not rain dependant and that temperature is more crucial?
Well it's been like summer here until this last week, so I guess now that the temperatures have dropped slightly and it's pissing down regularly surely I'll be getting some soon?

Sounds good to me Kad, while the temps being low enough is important i'm now finding that the fields i go to need some rain.
There was a decent flush that came through when the temps dropped even though it hadn't rained for a couple weeks, but now it's at the stage it needs a bit of rain to really get going again.
As you're in the South East the season is far from over for you, it's only just begun

Thanks for confirming, I have literally been out everyday, while seeing the countryside to the extent I have has been excellent would love there to be more rewards.
I hate the south east haha

Yeah as far as picking liberty caps goes the South East is far from ideal, although saying that the best field i've found so far is in the South East, it was just a lot harder to find than in Wales where they pretty much grow anywhere that sheep are grazing.

How's it going folks? Quick question: how long does it take for the liberty caps to pop up? My local fields of interest are mowed by machinery frequently or trampled/eaten by livestock. Many thanks

Happy hunting!

My last post got messed up somehow :s
You have any experience picking in Yorkshire? How good was it compared to places like Wales?

I'm pretty sure they can grow literally overnight. As long as you're quick you might be able to get some, but they might only be pins. How often do they mow it?
Edit: read mowed as moved. One of them days
