Or am I too late for the season? not had much rain and it seems a bit cold now
Cheers for the help. P.S I would like to sit down in a field blazing and getting trippy with you Blazeyy, You all seem safe as f...
That looks good to me, especially the grass on the right hand side as they love those clumps of straw like grass. If sheep graze there then there's always a chance... don't rely on one place though, keep checking other areas aswell.
The season hasn't properly kicked off in the South yet so don't worry you haven't missed it, we just need a tad more rain to get things really going... I checked another field in the South East today and found ~30, it usually produces a few hundred so nowhere near peaking yet.

Hi. Great to hear. Yes lot's of sheep in the area, That's just one of many new spot's hopefully .
Phew, as this will be our first time hunt in Somerset and was told by some locals that we are to late this year. I will get the Mrs in the garden doing her raindance later, I hope the neighbors hearts can take it lol.

went on a little hunt today, wasn't finding so many recently because it hasn't rained much but has proved a bit better today after a few showers. They were all very dark and slimey! hard to find, much easier when they dry off to a nice white/gold colour

I had knee surgery 3 weeks ago so thought i was going to miss the season, managed to get out today though the farmer had put his sheep in all my usual fields so the sheep had ravaged EVERYTHING. managed to find about 7/8g wet which will be enough for a level 1 trip. different species than last year seem to be excelling in the different conditions. guess the season will be over soon

Here's my photos from yesterday. Can I get an ID on the first two pics? They're the biggest I picked and all on the top row have a little nipple on top, all smell good, but to be honest I haven't smelled any that don't! Same shrooms in two pics BTW, just from both angles.
Third photo is the rest of the stash, found on the moor in West Yorkshire.

got a nice load today in 2 fields just outside glasgow. relatively new picker so an ID would be great just for some reassurance.
the larger mushrooms are on a double a4 page o give you an idea of size!
would really like to have a few tonight so an ID would be very much appreciated, sorry to be a pain in the ass!
also found these little fellows and was intrigued if anyone had seen them, they had a slightly fatter stock with a small head

Checked my new spot today. Unfortunately seems like the cows got there first. I found a few sneaky ones that managed to avoid being cow food. Checked this spot about 3 weeks ago and the place was full of libs.

Must be exciting times
Have you decided on what dose you'll take yet? Having 10g of dry libs stashed is perfect for someone in your situation, as now you have enough to start as low as you like and work your way up. It looks like nature chose you, now you have to choose

Most people pick plenty of duffs when they first start hunting mate. Looking at the species you've photographed your looking in the right places
Just need to find those first few and you'll be set. Once you've got them it's unlikely you will pick the wrong species again.
Good luck
