Re: **The Official UK Liberty Cap Mushroom Season 2015** [Re: Anglerfish]

I'm new in this group. Hi all shroom friends. I'm from Estonia and been living in UK 4 seasons now. Last 3 seasons Iv been picking in the same place and usually got about 150-200 in few hours. This season I decided to check some fields closer to my home. I'm really suprised to see these libs grow everywhere here in UK! I live next to park where people walk theyr dogs and children play football. Few days ago I had a shortcut thru that park and I just kept my eyes on ground just in case. Didn't expect to find anything but one moment there were libs everywhere. Got about 100 in a 15 minutes. Unfortunately they grow only in small area in that park (park is massive). But it was still really suprising to find them next to my house(I live basically in city centre), no country side near 5 miles or so. And I found few more in totally random place, it wasn't even feald or anything. It's totally different in Estonia. It's much more difficult to find a field with libertys!  But once we found a massive field FULL of liberty caps. I was used to pick into small box and that box was full with 5 minutes. We had nowhere else to put them than into my backbag. So my bag was full in about two hours (about 3000 libs). Next day we went back with bucket and again, within two hours bucket was full! in that season we picked with my friend about 20000 of them ! Sad we had no phones with cameras at that time. But this season is going good. Got few trips three times from my old field and now found few trips next to my house. Going to check again on weekend. Hopefully there will be new shrooms raised. I'm sorry about my English ,hopefully you understand me!

Can I please get an ID on these? They looked slightly different to the rest of the libs and were much bigger; my friend wants to know if they are liberties, i have my doubts.
Thanks in advance

There seems to be confusion as to whether they're active or not, probably best not to consume them.

I have plenty of liberty caps, and those weren't dry, I was just trying to convince my friend to stop picking then as i had a feeling they were inactive. Thanks you lot.

After spending bloody ages out this afternoon in every pasture, sheep, horse and cow field that looked good, still no luck. Is it still too dry in the east mids, does anyone know? Also, if anyone would mind helping me with a place to looking here I'd really appreciate it! Not asking for actual spots of course, but ya know, pm a hint; Was out and about round Mapperly res if that helps.

Anyway, just as I was finishing, found these, got excited, got back and realised they are naff! Found so many edibles though!

I was just reading into them and people have thought them to be active, obviously I'm not going to consume them. Heavens, have a plum.

Pan pap's are not active. Whilst there are some actives in the genus these are not one of them.

I give you the choice of 2 pills.

With each containing one of the following:
Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk?
Didn't think so.

This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.
