and how did you do that!!! my gallery is private and my pics unshared??
some funny business going on here!
EDIT oh i get it , you linked to uploaded images not to your pics so anyone who clicks will just get directed to their own pics not yours.
go to your pics click the bottom url code (below pic u want) to copy it and then right click and select paste to paste into you post
then we will see your pics

for privacy you might want to remove you name or at least your surname out of that post
and nice to meet you claire
first 2 pics with lighter mushrooms .. you are correct they are libs.
the dark rotten looking ones i wouldnt even bother trying to figure out.
they are past it imo, they may be libs in there but they really not edible now and might make you sick so if was me they would just be discarded.
but wait for others opinions.

mustangbob3 said: vary with conditions i find.
wetter conditions later in the season the mature faster it seems
maybe thats a reason early fruits are stronger as they have more time to accumulate the active in the fruits
i dont care how long a book will say the fruiting cycle takes each fruit to mature!
i know it varies alot.
i have picked shrooms 1 day and not had fruits back for a week and also has fruits ready to pick in the same spot a day or 2 later.
and i know they werent even there 2 days prior as i pick all of them.
so i would say imo as temps get cooler and it gets wetter they speed up how long it takes them to grow.
the time it takes to pins may take the same time however i dont know. but it seems they are alot quicker with more rain
Thank You, +5 shrooms

Yeah toss these black ones.
First pic mostly Psilocybe semilanceata all except one with the flat gills which is likely Stropharia semiglobata just to confirm a lot of them big black caps are likely Stropharia semiglobata too but i can only guess as the primary features are all gone, toss em.

Likely to be ^Stropharia semiglobata not a big issue but not active.

Irish_Barbarian said: To the people who have found libs, what has the temperature been like in your area? I spent about 2 hours looking for them and couldn't find any
About Between 14 - 19 degrees celcius. More important I think is going out after wet weather, I found the best flushes appear after a day or two's rain.
Happy Hunting!

Picked almost 400 this afternoon from the same hill I found them at the end of July. They were most prolofic in just 2 medium sized fields and made for very easy pickings, had I searched properly I would have a thousand but I left a lot and did nt want to be greedy. Amazed to be finding them so early and especially in such quantity, I put it down to the unseasonably cool and cloudy second half of July, as August has been rather warmer, drier and sunnier so far. They were virtually everywhere I looked in those 2 fields and some of the clusters numbered 20 to 30 mushrooms.
