Loads of different types of mushrooms out this morning! Please could someone have a quick glance at this pic? Not 100% on all of them being libs.

Thanks a lot.

So as I was saying last week i found my first two. After another 3 visits to the same field and many other surrounding fields i can't find any,
Anyone else around Kent finding any yet?
I wouldn't say I've missed the first flush as I've been out everyday for at least 3 hours looking.
Thought the recent rain might have brought them out?
I'm willing to drive anywhere now, did a 140 round trip the other day to seven oaks to betsoms hill which is at 280 metres, but still nothing
I'm guessing the climate here is to hot? But strange how people on here are finding them below me in Brighton and above me obviously the north.
Help please lol

Does anybody have a system for searching a new field? Say you've just found a 500 square meter field, how do you start? Just curious

Howdie folks!
Decided to join the forums and share some experiences I guess... Except for the edible types, hadn't been picking mushrooms in over 10 years but the lack of any weed grow for me this year has motivated me to go about the hills and look for some shrooms (I'm in Northern Ireland btw). Like in the good old days!
Last week: It hadn't rained in a long while but I thought I'd check some places out anyway. result: ~125 libs. Not too bad.

This morning: I thought I'd return to the most promising spot and oh my, I don't think I've ever seen libs so big, so fresh (unless I'm mistaken). Since I'd like some input and I wanted to share the pics, I decided to create an account with you fine mycologists...
Ok, the libs... not all of the big ones display the marked pointed cap but I think they all are libs (is it possible that the point kinda flattens out if they open so big so quickly?). I haven't picked such fresh ones before and I think the conditions were perfect for them to grow massive. A lot of them display marked blue tinge all over (especially after a bit of bruising) so I think they're all active. Would love confirmation though.
Here are a few pics:
compare the 'normal-size' libs at top to the giant ones at bottom!

That's it for now, all the best and happy gathering!

make an imaginary grid and break the field down into manageable chunks, easiest way to scan a new field for mushy activity i find
goin out for my first hunt in a while today! will report any findings! taking the macro camera so hopefully some good shots to share

After reflection on my finds above,
a handful might be Stropharia Semiglobata (3 or 4 have rounded top rather than bell-shaped, no blueing and hollow stem).
But I don't see other types of Stropharia with such convex caps and the obvious blueing of both stem and cap. So I guess those big-uns must be Semilanceata (libs) but wow!
- EDIT. Well, for a first post, I'm not doing great! I now see pis of Stropharia Semiblobata that are slightly pointed too. Tch! I knew it might be too good to be true. Anyone got tricked by these before or had experience with them discolouring?

You are taking the piss right?
FB groups are the best for ID mushrooms, but to answer your question.
No go do some research before even picking random mushrooms you should know straight away without even picking that

northan irish - the bottom half of your pics with the mushrooms under the libz look poisonous to me,,, just coz blue staining dont make them psychedelic mushrooms

Out in the Northumberland hills from 10.45am till 3pm. The beginning of my pick was so slow. Too fresh to collect in numbers, near impossible to spot but the specimens were lovely when picked. Took a few spliffs (cheese, critical kush & G13..all head space catered for!) and started seriously scanning. As per I started a few metres from the fence on a tractor track. (These are pure sheep fields btw) loads of pans & copy cats but also libs. As the day progressed the sun was drying them making them easier to spot. By 2pm im flying! Oh I always eat the first few as a shiva blessing and respect to mother Gia. Anyway I ended up with 223 wet gram in 4 1/4 hours . Nothing special for this area as for sure its just me & the fluffy things out here lol.
