KingMutley said: Hello there people's. First post ever on the site..been watching and reading for a couple years. I'm off into the mendip hills in the next few days as soon as it rains some more, I've been up there a couple times this week searching and have come home with eight little shrooms lol. Found the sheep, got the elevation of 250m but only eight hehe. I still haven't had a proper trip despite trying to find enough since I was about 16 (now 26) and I've got a genetic muscle issue which means walking many hours is tough and I can't do it often...anyone got any tips? Btw some of your finds are truly inspirational hehe
Hello there! Sorry to hear about the muscle issue; I'm sure it can't help man. In terms of tips, sounds like you're in the right places if you've found some already. I always think in these terms when I hunt:
1) If there's dew on the grass in the morning and the crane flies are around the temps are right. 2) Fields with grazing animals are usually a safe bet.
3) Fields consisting of slightly shorter grasses with the odd tussock of Juncus effusus (big spiky grasses) tend to work well.
4) Wait for a good spell of rain, then look a couple of days later (this varies).
5) When you've picked a field or spot move slowly unless you know where they are already.
6) I always stop when I find any mushroom at all and look around (crouching can help), if fungi's growing then it's likely something else will be nearby.
7) Learning a few indicator species can help make educated decisions about whether you're wasting your time or not. If I spot assorted Panaeolus, Stropharia and a Hygrocybe or two then the chance is moisture is good and the field has been managed appropriately for libs to grow.
That's all I can think of right now but hope this helps. Good luck with the hunting!

Personally I don't see the need to go past say 2.5g. I did 5g powdered lem tek last year and I found it too much to take in. When I have lower doses the divinity is still there but the lessons much more easy to absorb. Definitely do one heroic in your lifetime though. I reckon lower doses are under rated. Be interesting to here others thoughts on this.

For me a dose at which I am able to see my surroundings and walk without hurting myself is a way to go. Never tried a heroic dose yet.

My experience of heroic dose (5g) tea tek. I literally felt every cell vibrating at really high frequency (even my teeth) I then projected and felt like I was pulled from my body through my mouth, I turned and looked and saw my physical body but I wasn't in it (these we all closed eyed visuals). On the two big doses I have wept tears of joy and felt universal love and the presence of what I can only describe as God. Really beautiful experiences. I want to reach complete ego death and think I will do this next one within the week and with complete sensory deprivation (normally have meditation/ music on during trips).
Will keep you posted. Thank you for the responses

Hey guys, I've been following this thread for a while now but I've never posted before!
I'm living in Bournemouth and very keen to get out and pick some lib caps, I know all the standard signs to look out for like grassy fields with cows or sheep grazing, hills etc. But I was just wondering if any kind souls would like to point me in the right direction, OR go picking together in the area?
We've had a good bit of rain, and now a bit of sun so from what I've read we should be up to our knees in them soon!
Thanks in advance legends!

Out hunting in the north east today, I live quite high up. Had some good halls in august, well into the hundreds on multiple trips which resulted in the most insane experience in durham cathedral. Hoping for some more today, will update.
Hopefully I wont have to stagger past any dead sheep again.
On a side note, how did you guys persuade others to take the mushroom with you. At the present for 4 years or so it's been a solitary thing, or with one friend. Nobody seems interested in it and of course it's something I bring up often.

Dry? I'd guess such people are already in a different realm. The realm of the retard.

I'd imagine 20g would be blacking out territory. If 30 dry libs are ~1g then 20g would be ~600 mushrooms which takes a long time to pick, to use all that up in one sitting could be a bit of a waste i think, although i haven't tried it so who knows... if i was taking that mush i'd start looking into psilohuasca so i wasn't going through my stash at a ridiculously fast pace.
The SE is still dry for me, the ground is getting a little softer after the recent rains but i can't see a full flush coming through for at least 2-3 weeks.

Yeah. I didn't mean to be so harsh. Just that such a dose would represent the best part of an entire seasons haul in my area.
My part of the UK, Bucks, is a relatively arid part of the country and with a clay soil to boot, our season rarely starts until mid/late september. I can still barely get the blade of my pocket knife into the earth!

I'm a little bit on the north from your area, haven't found a single lib in there guess we have to wait 2-3 weeks more

Yeah, it's not uncommon for there to be over a 1000 people taking psychedelics with a few huge fires going in my spot to the point the police had to put up notices :P
