Yubersan said: Quick question:
I had a look for some shroomies on my way to work today in a few new spots which I looked on my phone and apparently only 50m (give or take a few metres) above sea level. I was just curious as to the lowest height anyone has found them this year..
I'm beginning to think that I should justs top looking for a few weeks and go out around the end of september, especially since I can't travel further than my feet/pushbike can take me
Thanks people, much love
Not checked my low patches yet but last year the average elevation of my local sheep fields is around 130m and they was fruiting around the 15th of september. I'm fairly confident there's gonna be libs there now though, i shall check tomorrow (if i ever get some sleep) as it's just round the corner and update this post with any finds, only about 70-80m difference so should be able to narrow it down a bit
Thanks man. You've filled my heart with promise of finding some. Might have to have a cheeky gander in some fields on my way back from work in a few hours. Then I'll be out tomorrow no doubt! Thanks again man. You're very helpful!

Can anyone tell me if these are liberty caps?
Only found them growing in the garden, so I'm sceptical! In Aberdeenshire.
Thanks

Hi All,
Found these in the NE today. I am reasonably confident, but they are a bit dry, so am not 100%. What tdo you think?
Missed the colder damper weather of last week, it has got warm and dry here again. Hope the same field will be a little more bountiful later in the month

Hey guys. Absolute noob here. I just found these and took them home. Can anyone help identify?
These were found in southern England, growing in a mossy area near trees.
There are lots of photos attached.
Thanks!

I'm very new to this magicmikey but those do NOT look like libs to me. I certainly can't identify them.
Wait for an experienced poster to give their views.

no libs in here mate
been out today (east midlands) Found a lot of different fungi and I'm happy with that , not a single lib on the fields tho, it's very dry in here now, just pans all over the place still need more moisture and lower temps. Gonna try again in my spots within 2-3 weeks.
Monitoring forecast and next week doesn't look very promising at all... Dry and 20 deegres ;(

I wouldn't put off pans so easily pal, 25% of my last prints turned out jet black all what i thought were foes.

So are Panaeolus cinctulus psychoactive? Is it even worth it? I don't wanna be poisoned I'm pretty sure I've found tones of them...

Safe to eat, psychoactive no, but if they look like that and they print jet black it's more than likely only gonna be one other species, obviously not a pap, something that resembles a foe

Long time lurker first time poster here. Does the time of day matter when the libs are out? I've always thought early morning around sunrise was the ideal time to go, but I don't know whether thats because less people are about but I don't really care about that. I'm thinking of going to my usual spot today I have found 30 in the past 3 weeks (3 visits). Left it another week and heading back out today. I'm in Manchester and it's quite sunny, is it worth going having a look? Any help much appreciated .

I personally think the 'early morning' thing is a complete myth. Go anytime if there's shrooms there gonna be there. I go out sometimes at 4pm the shrooms ain't gonna go anywhere
