check up on higher hills. I found no liberty caps in the spots the same as last year, but went into another field (had inactive mushrooms on the bottom), but as I went higher and higher there was LOADS of liberty caps

Best bet is to use google maps, find the highest altitude, open green area that you can access and check it out. Wander around in enough fields and you'll find em.

Oh my god I'm so jealous how come all of you guy's are getting loads but I'm getting jack shit. Is it because it's quite warm and dry where I'm at or could it be the habitat? It's been raining slightly but the grass is quite dry and has been 17 degrees at day and 12 at night on average

Thanks, I did think they were libs and I'm even more certain now they're dry. It's been getting pretty cold this week and it always rains here so I'm hoping this weekend will be just as good.

Best page for Identification of Liberty Caps that I know of
http://www.shroomery.org/12510/Psilocybe-semilanceata
Make sure you are 100% before you eat anything!
Having some pictures handy while you try your first few hunts is very useful so you don't waste time picking 100's of the wrong mushroom!

West Pennine moores, quite a big stretch but can't give specifics against forum rules ^^
Most of it is like that though, hills go on for like 90 square miles

Anyone know we're to find liberty caps in Wakefield west Yorks. Know where to get them over on the east coast but can't travelling that far. Any suggestions or tips on how to find them would be so grateful x

Hi, anybody UK based looking for a chill experience in Norfolk during the season..I am looking to extend my circle of shroom friends and have a regular and abundant supply for the winter months and for my journey. I know a few locations here, and this year I was hoping to meet some new people . I am looking at checking my locale out through September. I have purposely dulled this down to avoid my comments being misrepresented..Since posting yesterday I have been accused of making a post to *hook up*.. Happy to have friends of either gender for this mission, and or a small bunch of respectful people. This particular field is gold..I won't just be taking anyone with me. If this peaks your interest please let me know. Peace!

Hey people, first post here, long time lurker! This is my 4th season I've been picking, considering myself pretty damn confident with identification. However, yesterday I came across a few mushies that looked really very similar in almost all regards, only thing that made them seem off was their very rounded & puffy-ish cap. Upon further research they could possibly be panaeolus foenisecii, but thought I'd get some of your opinions. Third photo has some definite Libs in there for comparison.

Those are Protostropharia semiglobata
