Can't really give specific spots but i can tell you there's fruiting happening in the North East as i've ID'd some pretty big hauls on Facebook for two people from Durham side.

Did you ever try tripping in the mushrooms own habitat? It is amazing! Your fields look especially good for that purpose.

No but i'm going to at some point, i usually take edibles in the morning (175mg or so thc) and bring some joints with me and it looks awesome, can't imagine on shrooms! will give it a go next time

Hi everyone. I haven't been on here for 5 years for various reasons, but and now back here and determined to make this year count. Im down in south East England, we just had some good rain, and it's definitely forecast for cooler temperatures. Im thinking this could be a good time for libs to start popping up?
Also, can anyone tell if this is a lib, or just one of those lookalikes. The gills are white, is the main reason I'm thinking this isn't a lib. Im still not confident on iding them at all.
Thanks!

Not a lib, libs do not have white gills. Probably at least a few weeks til the south starts fruiting in any significant way i'd say, just not cold enough at least where i am.

Your mushroom is likely Panaeolina foenisecii. The habitat might provide something interesting but looks a tad "domestic" - you would probably have better luck in sheep pastures.
All these fields are in a non residential area and are all grazed by sheep and cows only the farmer enters the paddocks. Could they grow here?

Wow I didn't realise they were out this early, went picking on the weekend and came away with roughly 110g of fresh libs, they're still drying so not sure of weight dry but was around 550 mushrooms here's the nicest patch I found...

This year I WILL be getting a supply that will last the year (I say this every year) lol

Oh and I live in the south west of the UK, found in a field where i have seen both sheep and cows graze
Can someone explain why people are interested in the bruising of libs?

Haha hi moonshake yeah I think it's safe to say the season is upon us all these I found in a small field but I walked for so many hours trying to find good places and I didn't find a single shroom in any other field! but while driving today I saw some fields I reckon will be good for it so I will be venturing out again Wednesday, I hope it is sunny cause it's been raining the past few days so they should be popping up

IMO, because it's rare for libs to bruise compared to other active species.
