The post you recommended was fantastic, will have these pictures saved for the next hunt just to try and ID the ones I dont want too.

Hopefully by next season I'll be completely sure what I'm looking for. How long does everyone reckon we have left? I'm thinking of trying this spot again next week... Although I'm sure I haven't left much behind today, what's the chances more will grow in a weeks time?

Check out this post for other mushrooms in the same habitat and one deadly one.

No. We know pretty much nothing about Celtic or Germanic pagan traditions.

Note the Galerina marginata (deadly) growing in a grass habitat.

This is unusual as it normally grows from decaying wood, demonstrating that habitats aren't always clear-cut. There could have been wood buried beneath the grass. Not easily confused with Ps. semilanceata but worth looking out for.

I'm not too sure but I could have spotted some of them today, the field we have found is full of lots of different types of mushrooms. Also there was a lot of wooded areas nearby!
And again... Thanks for all your help!!

I feel really concerned after seeing Galerinas grow there. I always check myself three times, let a mate check, and then post here if still not 100% sure, but the idea of a deadly species among libs is still weird to me...
How common are they for you really experienced hunters?

I went to my local spot today and my hunt lasted only a couple of minutes. The owner was there with his dog and started walking towards me whilst talking over the phone. I turned around and started walking towards the exit. I could hear him OI'ing at me. I didn't turn around.

On a happier note after much pissing about uploading pics from my phone, here's my pics from a 2 hour hunt today. Got 46 in total, some really unique specimens and a lot of huge ones. Lost my scales so haven't got a clue on their wet weight.

Did he catch you picking them up before or did he just know that it's common for people to pick up shrooms on his field? If you have the chance come over on my channel later on in my sig because you've been here a couple of times.

I have not been out much this year a much more relaxed approach to it all. Given I take 2 libs get massive anxiety, hollow feeling in chest/solar plexus, low blood sugar, nervy, freaked shaky kind of feeling/light headed which I am not sure comes from a direct physical/mental response to the psilocybin itself or if it is a learned response? been the same ever since form a bad trip 3 years ago. Weird. After about 1 hour though I am rewarded with zen like peace in mind and body, like super tranquility so I put up with the really unpleasant first hour for the 2-3 hours of nice thoughts and zen like calm.
I do wonder if I have developed some very strange hyper sensitivity to psilocybin. I boil 2 large libs and am frankly suprised how storng the effects are. I am a bit sensitive as a person, a bit of a dreamer and have a strong imagination so I don't know. Just wish I did not feel so unpleasant after taking them for the first hour. Kind of takes the joy out of my reflection on the good sides a bit.
Might go out in a week or 2 and check again. Enjoy the fruits all.
Try having a couple of beers before you trip. It really helps to calm the nervous system and eases you in to a trip with out really thinking about the come up. Obviously don't get pissed.
Alot of people will probably chime in with a lecture on how alcohol and psychedelics shouldn't be mixed, but trust me it works. It smooths the come up considerably.
I never trip any more unless I've had a pint or two.

Yes mate, it's happened to loads of people on the forums including myself. I did it this year with my first haul of the season. Didn't dry them properly before storing and they went moldy

Went to a different spot today from usual, high on top of a nearby mountain grazed by sheep. There were loads of libs, picked 50 in a few minutes. Prime lib habitat for miles... this is going to be a good spot for next season.

\No he never caught me and never seen me. He could clearly see that I was looking at the ground. I haven't found any libs yet when he spotted me but I reached down to the ground a couple of times so he definitely clocked it. I have heard that other people used to go there picking too.

Love the slug. I saw a weirdly marked brown spider with very very spindly legs near some libs earlier and cos of the fog the spiderwebs were all dewy. Looked really cool
