Absolutely beautiful specimens.
A little better focused and this would have been well worth a pic of the month nomination.

Loads of libs out today, had a decent haul. Even though the day is warm it gets cold at night this time of year. Some pics:

Hey guys, been following this thread for the past month or so, so helpful! anyway found these today central scotland, plenty sheep roaming around the hill. Any one able to confirm these are libs? the top row I'm not sure on, the first 2 have a nipple but at the bottom of the mushroom its completely straight where as the rest sort of hang down and curl under abit.
Still new to this and this is the first season I've managed to find any last year was hopeless. cheers

Hey. The top left two (first pic) may be Stropharia semiglobata, but could be libs too. A closeup would help. The others all look like libs
Libs vary a lot in appearance but always have tell-tale signs.

I think they're both libs, slightly uncertain about the right one. It's nothing poisonous anyway so no harm in eating them!

Think it was frosty out where I am this morning, uh oh...!
Tried my first proper dose last night, about thirty fresh libs chopped up in some cold apple sauce with a bit of squeezed lemon. I didn't get much on the visual front, but was quite content to sit listening to music on headphones for a couple of hours. Not as intense an experience as I was expecting though if I'm honest!

The only Psilocybin containing mushroom species you will be likely to find in the UK during spring and summer are Panaeolus cinctulus.

No quite the opposite hard ground frost will kill the mycelium and season ends

Wow, some great pics here guys. I want to pick some too, the season is NOW! but I have not managed to find any lib caps in England yet. I have picked some amazing shrooms in Jersey (channel islands) I have seen fly agarics near here in a royal park near Windsor (but they are rubbish)I have grown my own Cubensis many years ago. What I really want is a place close by I can find them, I live in West London I have tried bushy park but I think I went on a bad day, saw lots of odd mushrooms, but did not spot any libs? The part of west London I am in is very close to Surrey. any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Get out into the countryside, speaking very generally national parks or nature reserves tend to be fairly flush with them. Any mountainous, hilly or sloping area is a big positive.
Good luck man keep us updated
