I went for another walk early this morning and to my surprise in one of my spots I found lots of clusters of golden sundried and fresh mature libs! I got about 50-60 big ones altogether, I left the smaller ones to fruit for longer. I didn't expect any libs to be out for at least a few more weeks yet in somerset. It looks like it's going to be a good season so far, i'll most definitely be spending more time outdoors over the next few months. Happy hunting! :P

Hi all. Long time lurker, first time poster. I've been picking my local area for the last 5 or 6 years and finally decided to post some results for you guys. After checking my usual spots for the last month and coming up short, we had a good dose of heavy rain a few days ago so I jumped in the car and took a drive in the hills, parked up, and started hopping gates. The first field had been recently cut and turned out to be a bust, but after climbing a style into the next field I found a group of 5 chunky libs in the first ten feet. the whole field was flush with groups of 5-15 and I managed to grab a few hundred in under 40 mins, though they were quite fresh so I was quite picky, leaving the wee babies to mature for a bit. They've been drying on the fan for 3 days and are nice and crisp so I've bagged them up for later. While they were drying out I took a trip up to Edinburgh for the fringe so naturally took a few grams with me, but still got another 5 or 6 g's left out of this batch. I think I'm going to take a drive and see how the ones I left behind have matured today, although it's been pretty dry and sunny these last few days... hope it's not too late. Anyways, Happy hunting guys!

3rd pick this season but it dont really count as i only found 16, was overcast and rainy later on, bit cooler than it has been, there was someone with dogs lurking bout other end of field, could be a farmer, could be another picker who got there before me but i doubt it, so i left it there, was getting a bit wet anyhoo, better luck next time
