POP QUIZ Q: How long do liberty caps typically exist above the ground for? Before decaying. Q: What substrate or material exactly do libs thrive on? Thanks

found these 25(approx) in 1 hour just before the night and rain fell. from the same patch i tooth-combed a week ago - seems a week is time enough for them to significantly fruit (in certain locations)
I've further n00b questions to my last post - i've always harvested shrooms by cutting/pinching from the base of the stalk, been taught not to yank them out the ground - is this to prevent sabotaging mycelium networks/allow or encourage the possibility of further flushes?-
Can discarding shrooms across fields spread their spores? - and are the spores in shrooms destroyed/denatured once brewed/heat processed?

Hello bitchas!
I went to my local spot today and luckily the owner wasn't there. I have picked 67 in total which is more than I expected. This spot produces 200-300 at it's peak. I had to get down on my knees to be able to see all of them. Libs in this spot are smaller than anywhere else. But they are also stronger. There were tens of rabbits everywhere today. If I was tripping I would think they were just a hallucination...

Can somobedy please cross breed this with peyote?
Thanks.

Had quite an amusing outing today thanks to the resident horses in the field. They were all stood around munching the very spot I wanted to pick so I joined in lol and two of them took a real liking to me which my poor dog wasn't too pleased with...blooming horses kept standing over the shrooms and trying to eat the ones I pick! Still nice to have the extra company..
As I left the first patch and headed up the fields to the other main patch (around a mile away) checking the grass at my feet as I go I eventually happened across the same bloke I saw there a couple weeks back and yet again he had beaten me to it again! Walking towards me with around 500 shrooms in a poo bag I asked him if he's there often and he says during mushroom season yes everyday. So that was sad news as he's clearly going to beat me to it every time as he's local so I think I need to find some more spots. Headed out to another location a few miles away and had some success which made up for the hard going at the other spot and I'm back home now with 3 oz wet weight I'm going to spend more time searching new grounds which hopefully no one else is picking seems often when I do I end up with another little spot
Anyone who doesn't use a dehydrator is eating bugs! And the bugs are stealing your shrooms. Just thought I'd say...all the tiny lice looking things are not pleasant.

I don't see how they could not be, they were on me patch! Their probably not seeking them out intentionally but they certainly seemed keen on what I was picking...considered trying to ride one but thought better of it lol not sure how you mount a horse in a field with no saddle

Not sure how long. I will keep them growing until winter kicks in. This is the first time I'm growing these so I'm learning. They have bolted massively in summer and I stopped paying attention to them until last sunday when I have accidentaly discovered, that some of them started forming fractal bulbs.

Ello everybody!
I've been searching some fields near me in Hertfordshire, as I remember when I was young there used to be sheep there.
I've been scouring what seems like prime habitat and just finding non-magic fungi, some pretty bright orange mushrooms here and there.
Nearly gave up hope, until I saw a big sloping field with hundreds of sheep! Thought my trouble were over until, after searching that, still found NOTHING!
TL:DR: I am a first time hunter, how likely is it that I'll find shrooms in a grazing field for sheep, fairly high up, with a slope?
We haven't had much rain for the past month, so it may be that.
Should I go back after some rain? Or are there some fields that just wont fruit despite these conditions?
