Trying to figure out what to major in, figure I would ask around on some opinions:
Math, economics, electronics, would have to be my favorite, opinions on my three?
What would you choose as a major/minor?

I'm confused. Do you already have an undergrad degree and thinking about going for your masters?

Figure out what you like doing more than anything and major in something related to that. It makes it so much easier if you are actually interested in what you are learning.

I dig this, but gg to the rest of the thread. Lol
More seriously, to the other guy asking if i have an undergrad, no, but rather not start handing people money until I know what I should actually spend it on, ie prerequisites to a major.

I think Econ would be a good one. How good are you at math? I thought I was really good until I get to Calc II and got my shit rocked. So don't go that route if you have any doubts about your mathematical capabilities.
Also I'm pretty sure "electronics" isn't a major. You could do computer science, EE, or ME if you want something kind of close.

I meant electrical engineering, but I have a background in computers so I generalize it as I figure I would end up somewhere with micro-controllers, though I do hate programming.
I don't doubt my mathematical capabilities as I have always been deeply enthralled by it, studied calc sophmore year of highschool, and always been interested in higher level stuff like differential equations, though haven't really had a firm grasp on it due to self-study incompetence and lack of higher schooling.
Economics has been a recent hobby of mine, really interested in the Foreign exchange and opened up a dummy account, ended up with 8k profits before trial ended, and 1k on the SSE. My only downfall going into economics is lack of funds, I can either invest everything now and wait until I get profits for school, or go to school wait until I have my degree and attempt to find a job at some broker, and quite frankly I'm not too good at selling things. Though I have experience with computers and would attempt to build a trading platform/bot while in school.
But really, this thread was a question about EVERYONE elses choice not just mine, I dig long input, but I would like to here some simple major/minor combos YOU would pick.

Not going to bash you about the math but college calculus for engineers/sciences is fucking hard as shit. Coming from someone who excelled his entire pre-college days in math. Once you learn how to master it though, it's easy. I went from a C in calc 1 to an A+ in calc 2.. I just never took the time to learn the concepts layer by layer. The whole education on math in the US is so fucked up right now. If I didn't have my german teacher, teach me calculus I wouldn't be good at it. I literally needed a foreigner to teach me math because half the teachers teaching math don't understand the concepts themselves.
a masters in economics would be a lot easier then electrical engineering. It's also kind of just a justification to a job though. You wouldn't need money because you'd get a job hopefully somewhere.
It really depends on what you want to do. My friend has a undergrad in economics and is a fucking retard. My financial advice is probably 1000x his and that says a lot. He also isn't writing papers on economics just some lucky kid who's parents have a state wide run company so he gets to work for them and do accounts payable.

Get a degree that let's you play with other people's money for profit. People are willing to empty their wallet so they don't learn how to invest. You can speculate on your own markets too, and you're playing with their profits anyway so...

Something that translates directly into a skill you can actually use on the job market.
Shit like philoshpy, math and economics won't get you shit. It's all cerebral knowledge that cannot be monetized.
Well maybe economics.. But dont count on it. Learn that on your own, don't pay for that knowledge
