Good guess for #2, but I'm thinking Agaricus, similar to A. silvaticus.

Good call. I was unaware that there were pink staining Agarigus. I should have noted the pink gills, however.

It does look like A. silvicatus. Thanks! Would you consider it could be A. amicosus? Are many of the red staining agaricus spp. edible?

I'm not a big fan of Agaricus, the ones that stain red are the only ones I eat. I'd like to give you a specific species name but I am not interested in the genus so my knowledge of them is limited to the species in my state. :paradissunsmall:
Here's a very informative link I have bookmarked discussing red Agaricus edibility: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/7231709

Also I'd like to see a spore print before you consider eating that just to be on the safe side.

Thanks MC. Looks like cactu in that thread says all red-staining agaricus are edible, but I agree its best to be sure with a spore print. I composted the caps before a good print was obtained . A faint one developed with dark spores, black/dark purple.
