well i read that they are better suited with outdoor cultivation because of the sunlight and their big roots.
so iam planing on planting em in a very big pot and in the balcony where they can get alot of sun light for hours per day.

good to go?

Sounds good to me. I have found many things grow great in pots if you give em.enough love.

Also, I've been planning on doing the same thing, so definitely let us know how it works out.

I have two outdoor pots with morning glories at the moment.  The pots are 10x10inch and they're doing great.  Super fast growth.  I planted them less than a month ago, and I'm expecting to see blooms any day now.

They are absolutely tenacious plants.  You really don't need to do much because they are extremely hearty.  Just make sure you thin down the crop once your seedlings get their first true leaves on them (approx 6 inches tall).  Don't over water, they tend to like drier soil.

Keep an eye out for whiteflies.  They like to hide on the underside of the lower leaves, and if left unchecked, they can reproduce crazy fast and can kill your plants in a few weeks.

They should look really pretty on your balcony.  Definitely one of my favorite plants.  I would suggest also planting them with moonflowers.  They grow very well as a companion crop, and the fragrant blooms open up at night after all the morning glories close.

Happy planting!

Why should thin out the crop?

Because otherwise they will be too crowded in their container and it will inhibit their growth due to space/nutrient restrictions
