Apart from them being beautiful plants, do you guys really enjoy the active properties of atropine plants? I have never tried but the stories Ive read and heard make me not want to dare. My mate even got dosed by accident when he was pruning his Nightshade and a bit of it squirted into his face. He had to go to hospital and was seeing fireworks and strangers.

Reviving this thread. What is your take on the cactus? My best guess isnsome sort of ferocactus spp bit I can find any that grow so elongated like that...
Also, enjoy the flower.
Edit: dunno what happened to the images but they should work now.

For some reason I can not zoom in but from what I can see I think it would be a blue myrtle.

I disagree. I think the spines are uncommon to the blue myrtle.

I'm not sure it is your end the pics are messing up on... Seems like a site wide issue...

I'm able to zoom in now so I recant my first statement but I can't tell what it is for sure. The shape still reminds me of a BM but the spines are off.

It's definitely not a Myrtillocactus. I'd call it a Ferocactus as well. It's just a bit elongated, some brighter light will correct it in time.

Once you can zoom, it definitely takes on a different appearance. The spination is wrong for blue myrtle, coloring of spines as well. Ill take Karodes ID of ferocactus.
