Colonized or contaminated?
    #21998056 - 07/26/15 12:42 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Jar looks mostly colonized. This spot looks the same for the last 3 weeks or so.

It could be bacteria or something but that looks pretty small. If your worried just don't use that little area but I personally wouldn't worry about it.

Alright then, picture this if you will:
10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes, in my "need to know" post, just outside of Area 51.
Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this.
Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping...
Holy fucking shit!

Shake it up and let it recolonize, if there is still uncolonized portions then it could be a bacterial contam. That doesn't mean you can't spawn to bulk, but you may only get one or two small flushes.

I spawn jars all the time that have uncolonized grains, not saying it is good practice.. but I have never ran into problems doing it.

Something could be inhabiting it.  Just let it sit for a few more days and see if it moves, don't shake and recolonize.

If you are truly worried about it, now could be the time to get a 15qt container and spawn it to some coir for a test run
