I have a friend that lives in a total dump and drives a 500 dollar beater. He always has like a hundred k in his bedroom though. That's not a trailer and he's kinda chubby though.

There's a difference between poor and cheap.
--------------------
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

I'm sure there are fit people in trailer parks
Successful though, no, unless you consider maintaining a low paying job to meet the rent as "success"
there's a reason why they live in trailer parks -- it's because they can't afford anything better

Yes actually, I dunno that they'd do it forever.
My uncle spent a lot of years living in a trailer park, he was a fit non-smoker (was basically a jock in high school and made the local paper through his athleticism) and a very successful person. He didn't see the need to run out and buy a house the second he had a well paying job. He saved for a lot of years and bought a huge house. He was married and even had a kid while living in the trailer.
He could've at any point decided to get a decent house and a mortgage and been able to make it, but like I said, he just didn't see the need. Instead he opted to live in the trailer until he could afford his dream house.

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. You're part of a machine, you are not a human being With your face all made up, living on a screen. Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline

I guess there are always exceptions to the rule, but my guess would be that trailer park residents like your uncle are few and far in between

Yes. I have met a few drug dealers in my time that resided in trailer parks. I would consider them fit and well, they were successful at what they did.

Matthew mcconaughey lived in a trailer for a long time before getting married. Zappos CEO also lives in a trailer.
A trailer is not exactly a 'bad' living situation. Hell even if I was rich I would just buy a shit load of land and live in a trailer. I would have a massive nursery and always be outdoors and would only need a place to sleep and rest. I work for people with BIG ass houses and it seems sad SOO much space is wasted and the ceilings as so high resulting in even more wasted space.

Most people I knew i;n the trailer parks(practically grew up in them) had little to no food and were usually more fit then most people I knew with a lot of money. Then again I do know a lot of drunks, stoned and lazy people but for the most part my friends that lived in the trailer park were fairly fit. Then again most "people" I knew there were under 18,most of my friends eventually moved out of there.Quote:

This is very true, in fact my first apartment/trailer/house is going to be a trailer. I'll have more room then most of my friends who rent or lease for a cheaper price. I've asked some of my friends why they wouldn't move to a trailer park,90% of the answers is because people think it's trashy. I think that's stuck up and condescending.

Dumbass ? I know the difference between a thread and a post. I will not answer the second part of your question until you prove to me you know the difference.

The problem with this thread is it assumes that being "successful", and fit has anything to do with perceived quality of life vs actual quality of life. In other words there are many "rich"(having a lot of expensive material goods) who are dissatisfied and many primitive or "poor" people very satisfied with life.
Usually when you put people in groups like that they're soo big that generalization don't actually work if you take time to examine the people in the groups.

Yes and no.
Most of the trailer home owners are retired people living off their retirement savings. Some are young couple looking to buy a trailer house in order to skip rent and retain value on their payments.
Some are wealthy simple people. The manager of our trailer park is a retired guy with a company pension + own savings. The guy is far from being on the street. He chose to live a simple life. The man likes fishing but he can't afford a riverside house. Our trailer park is on the riverside and we give him free rent as payment + 10$ an hour. It keeps the guy busy and it makes him feel useful so he enjoys it.
Owners generally are wealthier

There's a lot of wealthy, fit people in senior citizen trailer parks. Typically they are snowbirds who only live in the trailer during the winter.
