I've only used the tall half pint jars and I haven't had one contam. It could be your moisture content. You want it to look like fluffy damp sand when you're done mixing. Definitely mixing it as GreenRabbit suggested makes everything much easier.

Ah maybe it's a symantic confusion. The PF substrate is not at field capacity, but the verm is at field capacity before the EDIT FLOUR is added?
I don't think the verm is wet, but I haven't checked either. I figured the way it was cut/crumbled reduced the average density compared to other cuts. 1 cup of my verm weighs 30 grams. If that's heavier than yours, it's wet, if it's lighter, it's probably the cut making it more fluffy.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

pretty much, even a little more so but once the flour is added the mix is nowhere near field capacity, the recipe is also done with fine grade verm(holds more water by volume)

No, those are pics of a few grows I did back several years ago. Those were made from a run of WBS jars I inoculated with LC made from an MS syringe. Below is another pic of the same grow in an earlier stage. It's just been a little while since I've done this.
