I believe you, I've just never looked into it. It's crazy how nature can produce some of the most powerful substances in the most unlikely of places. I love it. :skifree2:

One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree.
'Which road do I take?' she asked.
'Where do you want to go?' was his response.
'I don't know', Alice answered.
'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

You are lucky to be in such a tropical place and my moringa is falling over with pods. I will probably send out seed in some weeks time.

Yeah,it is very tropical here, and you can grow mangos, avacados, papayas, you name it,and man,it's rained for 18 straight days in a row,or I would be fishing today!

Congrats on your moringa, mine is really growing nice and strong too:grin:

That AV of yours is probably more of a fighter than those puny fish too.

I know, right, and yeah,I actually fish for these types of fish, and they don't get much bigger.
When it stops raining,if it ever does,I'll show you some monsters:wink:

Hi, k.
Are you sure about this one? 'Cause it looks to me suspiciously like a B. maritimus and not B. alvarius...

Que pasa buddy:grin:
I'm pretty sure this is a cane toad though, and everybody says they are highly poisonous, and kill pets in the area.
I've also always wanted to find one,and have done tons of research on them, but if you think it's not one, then who knows?

HAHA!

I'm back with some more pics!

I caught two more cane toads outside my door the other day!

A male and a huge female!

I also have been finding a ton of gopher Tortoises despite the fact that they are endangered.

And for a few cacti.

This Cereus was Cereously Huge, nearly 12 or more feet tall!!!

Wild mother of a thousand, and they grow everywhere here!

and some wild citrus growing out in the middle of a swamp!

And I know I keep promising big fish, but the weather here has been awful, and it's rained and flooded every day for the past three weeks,so the fishing is suffering.
However this is a a big colorful bluegill I did manage to catch!

Oh how I love grow zone 9B:biggrin:

I have more pics, but I have to go,as my buddy is ready to go,and we finished our meal nearly 20 minutes ago:lol:

PEACE

I caught a pretty big bowfin yesterday, but this picture doesn't show this fish justice!
I'm estimating it weighed a few pounds, and I fought with it for nearly 15 minutes!

I also hooked one double it's size and battled it for a long time until my light weight line finally gave:mad2:

Living thw life man. I am truly Envious brother. Did you eat that big one? And if the little one is non native do you have to kill it? I know if you catch a snake head you got to kill it as well as that flying Asian carp.

Nice. I caught my first bowfin this summer myself. I had no idea what a bowfin was when I caught it until I looked it up after I caught it. The worst part was I didn't realize it had teeth until I stuck my thumb in it's mouth to lift it out of the water and it clamped down on me. Ouch.

Yeah man,I am indeed,and no,I didn't eat the bowfin,they aren't edible unless you know how to properly clean them,and I don't.

There are so many non native fish here it would be impossible to get rid of them all,and I'm not sure if you're supposed to dispose of them,or not.

I wouldn't kill them regardless,because they are so cool:cool:
I'm going to start up an aquarium!

Oh yeah dude, they have razor sharp little teeth!
I had to put a bucket in front of mine to get it out of the water, and grab it.
