ID request! Australian mushroom- possible psilocybe subaeruginosa
    #21993921 - 07/25/15 07:32 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Habitat:
Found amongst grass and fairly sandy soil covered in various rotting leaf debris. Classic west  Australian bush, located within Perth's northern suburbs.

Gills:
Cream coloured in young mushrooms, becoming dark brown with age.

Stem:
Roughly 5 cm long, 0.5 cm wide.
Mostly white in colour.
Stems are hollow and particularly 'fibrous'.

Cap:
Roughly 4-8 cm in diameter. The cap of young specimens are predominantly gold, older mushrooms maintain gold centre, surrounded by cream. Smooth and slightly slimy in texture. As mushrooms age the cap becomes concave.

Spore print color:
Spores print appears brown with a slight purple/violet tint however I find it hard to be certain of this tint, thus I have uploaded two images of the spore print, one picture taken in sunlight and one taken in the shade.

Bruising:
The specimen's bruising did not produce a particularly conclusive colour, it changed to a darker shade of cream/brown, with a possibly blue hue however it was not even close to the distinct, vibrant, blue of some of the active species I have seen images of on this site.

Other information:
No veil was observed in any specimens.
Isolated growth.

Hopefully we can get an ID on these babies
