Dryed cakes
    #21993584 - 07/25/15 02:15 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Hey guys,
so I have a question about some dried up cakes I have, when I moved into my new place I set up and put in 2 cakes decent size, I forgot to dunk them and I let hem dry up for like a month or 2 cause I got lazy, so my question is, is it possible to revive them? I've been soaking them like every day for about 3 weeks and still nothing,  should I just toss them?

I would try to case them and see if the mycelium starts growing. If it does it should be fine.

You can either crumble up the cakes into a bulk sub like coir and see if it colonizes

or dunk overnight, roll in verm and put into a SGFC.

As long as you don't see any contams and the cakes smell only like mushrooms no reason not to give it a try.

You also might want to start another grow while you're waiting to increase your chances of success.

:whathesaid: but regardless of what route you go (dunk and roll, or spawned to bulk), you should dunk it for 12-24 hours before you do it.
