A Magical Journey

Alright folks, here's my story. I've been seeking the great fungus on and off for over ten years. No one ever had them in high school. Even after I was never able to find that guy who knew a guy that had them. I didn't think much more about it and never really perused it.
I love Podcasts. Ari Shaffir, the comedian, has a show The Skeptic Tank. He always goes on about the positive benefits of mushrooms. So do many other comics like Joe Rogan as well as the natural experiences including isolation tanks and meditation. I've been in a personal funk for a long time now. In finally cumming out of it now but a part of me is still in that hole. I've heard it be described as bit of a reset button for your mind. Helping to look at yourself in a different way. By no means do I believe this to be a cure all but I do think this would be a very positive thing to peruse. There is a holiday cumming up in August called Shroomfest. You fine folks probably celebrate it. This was to be my first trip.
I smoke pot so I asked my dude if he could help. Of course he couldn't. I asked around. Nothing. I actually went on craigslist in desperation. I don't even know what I was thinking. The first thing that popped up on google was this thread http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18348735/fpart/all/vc/1
Of course! I'm a DIY kind of guy. I'll do it myself. I did a ton of research. Watch the famous PF Tec vids. Read up on everything. Ordered my spores. Got my gear and started inoculating my jars. Right now I'm in the colonization faze and its pretty exciting! 5 out of my 6 jars are starting to show promising signs of growth in the 5 or 6 days since inoculation. I'm also have a bit of a deadline. The goal is to have edible fruits by Shroomfest on August 29th. I'll post progress reports for myself and anyone interested in my magical journey. I'll post pics when I have some good ones to post as well as document my first trip and experience.

Peruse? cumming?
You should surely have mushrooms by the 29th. Good luck.

Tell me, Shhhh, where do you get those animations that people post on this site? Is that reserved for people who make donations or what?

I'm here for the duration of this thread whenever you need help, as well. I'm a big podcast fan - listen to Ari, Joe Rogan, Joey Diaz, Greg Proops, Adam Corrolla.. fuckin love all of them.

I really appreciate that buddy. I listen to all of those shows. I think you understand completely why I'm embarking on this journey and I'm glad to have you along for the ride. Ari Is like shroom Jesus. Spreading the word of the great fungus. My goal is to make enough to make prints on my bike and clothes and ride through parks and woods spreading the spores like a Johnny Appleseed deciple. I'm a big bike enthusiast...wait, not those people. Allot of cyclists are arrogant rode hogs d-bags that don't follow the traffic laws. I think there is even a massive thread dedicated to cyclist hate. Fuck those people! They give us a bad name...but I'm rambling now. Glad to have your support.

no just take the prints for future use or try your idea on a farm, cubes don't care for the woods

Yeah I didn't really think it would work in the woods but I still like that romantic idea of spore spreading. I do live in humid Long Island NY but even then its probably not ideal.

Oh buddy! Me and my Dad used to fish ALL the time when I was a kid. 2 days ago we got back into it. I caught 3 little snappers today in a little canal in a rich neighborhood. The people across the canal were blasting horrible progressive jazz music that made me feel like I was fishing in a elevator. Then the woman called the cops on us...We were there 20 mins over the allowed time to fish. The cops called her horrible and apologized multiple times as they watched me pack up my gear in my backpack. As I rode away on my bike I yelled across the water at that woman sitting on her lawn chair "You folks have a good night". Like thanks for ruining our time bitch. I'm going back there at 3 in the morning to spite her. People like that really grind my gears.

Oh my! That's a hell of a thing. I've been getting back into nature and all aspects. Fishing on a beautiful river going for delicious fish. Must be great.
