I was filling my metal trash can with water when i noticed it was leaking near the bottom at one of the seems. WTF! This could get messy if it leaked onto my electric burner i just bought. Silicon calk would probably give at 170 degree temps and near the burner its probably really intense heat. Its a 20 gal trash can. Did you guys have any probs like this? If not maybe it got damaged somehow. Should I try to patch the leaks or buy a new trash can? Maybe some other type of large barrel would work, but where would I get one of those? Arg!

I use a huge pot from walmart.

JB weld might help you also the putty that dries like jb weld will work.

JB weld was made for engines ect so 170-200 degrees should be no problem as long as u let it dry good

Hi-Temp RTV silicone sealant, $4 a tube at the autopart stores and walmart, it can take up to 450deg, I sealed my cars radiator with about 6 tubes and the excess on the engine never cooked. it can fix any thing in liberal amounts
